In the Suns and Spurs series the Spurs would foul O'Neal every time they could; even if it was in the first quarter because it would slow down the game. It obviously worked because it also affected the Suns offense because they could never get into a rhythm.

Why don't we do that with Ben Wallace who is actually worse than O'Neal at free throw shooting?  He played 23 mins or so in game 4 and I think it would really benefit us if we were to do this especially in Cleveland.  It would take their fans out of the game and the Cavs would have a hard time finding a rhythm on the offensive end.

We have plenty of fouls to use on the bench with guys like Allen, House, Baby who don't get any playing time so it wouldn't hurt.

We would obviously do this when they would be in the bonus so what does everyone think?

because it's pathetic and unsportsmanlike and our d is good enough to prevent them getting into any sort of rhythm anyway.

I thought that as well, however, it would give our players a breather on the defensive end so they are not exerting all that energy on that side of the floor for the entire game which has obviously been affecting their offensive game.

Because the Celtics offense is at it's best when it is creating stops and pushing the pace off the stops.

FTs kill that.

But not a bad idea when Cassell is in at PG.   He is not going to push it anyways.
