Remarkable Cavs Stats

LeBron currently has over a 2/1 Turnover/Field Goal ratio (17 TO, 8 FGM).  He also has the 4th lowest FG % (.190) in the first 2 games of a playoff series in NBA history, with all 3 of the lower performances coming in the pre-shot clock years of 1948 and 1949.  Pretty remarkable what we've done to him...and he is not "overrated", our defense is simply that good.

Of course, it won't last. I'd forgotten that the Cavs were down 0-2 to the Pistons last year. Eeek. I guess the question is, will the Cs be more like the Spurs or the Pistons? I hope it's the former, obviously. I think the reason our defense is superior to the Pistons' last year is that we've got two big and not-slow guys to guard LeBron, in Pierce and Posey. Prince is just two slight to offer much resistance to LeBron on the ball, and the Pistons' D just fell apart last year. I'd like to say that won't happen to us, but I'm far far from sure of that.

Followed the match through gamecast, so excuse me if this is wrong; but it seemed as if the Celts ate LBJs lunch all game long. I can only hope that they keep this up.

Not getting ahead of myself here, but if the Celts and the Lakers meet, wouldn't it be great to throw the same shackles on the "MVP"?

I think Pierce does as well as anyone at giving Kobe trouble ... and that would make for an awesome match-up! (Though I personally can't take too seriously anything that far down the road ... but here's hoping!)

TP for mentioning that he's not overrated.  That really bothered me last night watching the game, hearing all of those "over-rated" chants.  I like to think of myself as not being superstitious, but I still think that is something that we should save for when we have win #4 wrapped up.  I hate giving motivation to another team, especially with how we struggled on the road in the 1st round.  I don't necessarily think that we will be as bad on the road this series (I truly think that Atlanta's combination of size and athleticism is what cost us on the road when the Hawks got fired up by their fans), but better safe than sorry.

Games 3-5 he was 38-73 (52%) from the field and scored 105 points. 


His game 1 and 2 stats this year are eerily similar to what happened last year.  Lebron is still very young and needs his home crowd to get him going some times.  As a Cavs fan I am looking for that to happen Saturday night.  Lebron loves game 5s on the road after he has gotten his confidence after 2 home games.

Boston has played some good defense at home but not so much on the road.  If they shut Lebron down at home I will give them huge props, but until that happens, I wouldn't be talking about the Lakers quite yet.

Finally, believe me....if this series goes to Game 5 in Boston, Lebron will remember those overrated chants.

haha...me neither.  The Q is a great place to watch a playoff game.  The Cavs are a completely different team there.  Actually, the Cavs and the Celtics both have great playoff atmospheres.
