Who is/was a tougher opponent for Rondo and the Celtics? Bibby or Delonte?

My vote goes for Delonte

Bibby by a mile.  Delonte is a backup combo guard at best.

I disagree.  In Cleveland's system, I think Delonte is tougher.  He's a bit bigger and quicker than Bibby, and plays scrappier D.  I have a feeling he's not going to be as rattled at playing in the Garden as Bibby was.

The load won't be squarely on his shoulders to make plays, since Lebron will be commanding the ball most of the time.

I think that Bibby is a backup point guard, at best.  LOL.

Bibby with Cleveland would be better than Delonte. But Delonte will find himself open, which will make him tougher.

this isnt even close in my opinion. mike is a vet with alot of playoff experience and verrry clutch if you guys watched him in SAC as much as i did ( kings r my second team ). This all coming from someone with a mike bibby jersey on my wall haha .. but seriously, delonte is barely a PG, he may have a better series because of the attention that lebron gets

delonte is better, he had a good wizards series, and he's a much, much better defender than bibby. not that thats tough.

We need to be careful, when lebron is drawing the defense below the arc, delonnte is very deadly. same with gibson. They know there role and they play it well, drag the arc and get ready to catch and shoot.

Well my vote goes to Bibby. He is far better player than Delonte is. Nontheless, because Hawks are history we need to focus on Delonte.

Delonte.

He knows Rondo's game much better then Bibby did.

Honestly, I don't think Delonte is that good. Nothing personal, I like him kind of the same way you have to love Julian Tavares- he's a character :) But like others have said, he can hit threes(sometimes) and he'll be open, so of course he's dangerous. But Rondo is about 500 times better, so it should be ok.

at there current stages, in what way is bibby better?

Defense: bibby is a sive delonte is no lock down defender but he's much better than bibby.

Outside shooting: bibby shoots 0.375, west shoots .370 this is a wash.

fg% Bibby .411, west .444 close to anther wash, with a slight edge to west.

T.O: bibby 2.48 west 1.73. Big edge to delonte.

Assists : this is the only catagory that bibby is better in. he gets 6 a game, delonte gets 4.1

bibby stats: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/mike_bibby/index.html?nav=page

delonte: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/delonte_west/index.html?nav=page

so in what way is bibby far better?

in fact, west is a better shooter, which considering lebron will be driving and kicking to him, makes him a better player for his team. Throw in the fact that bibby plays atrocious defense, and i don't see how west isn't the better player....bibby was better once, before his knees were 100 years old.

He used to be the man in Sac, no doubt.  But Bibby's clutch days are over, imo.  He's a defensive liability and a step too slow.  At this point in their careers, Delonte is more versatile...and I think he's more dangerous in Cleveland's setup.

But hopefully it won't matter...since Rondo is better than both of them!

Bibby.  This board is way too head-over-heals for West.  As someone already said, West is a decent back up combo guard.  While he can look better in the Cavs system since LeBron does a lot of ball handling, he is not a good ball handler.

Rondo should be able to dominate him even more since offensively Rondo is much faster than West and defensively, West can't handle the ball nearly as well as Bibby.

If the C's do what I want them to do in this series and really make an effort to shut down everyone else on the team and make LeBron do it all, Rondo could be a real key to this series.  He really could make West a real liability and force LeBron to not only shoulder the scoring burden, but also the playmaking burden.

And remember, in West's two games against boston, he averaged 19 points, 5 assist, 4.5 rebounds and shot 64%  (60% from 3)
