What do you think of the Cavaliers team?

Are they a tougher matchup? What matchup problems do they cause? How does their style of play matchup with the Celtics? What advantages do they have?

Do you think they can they beat the Celtics?

I think the biggest advantage they have is Lebron.

I don't think they're a tougher match-up than the Hawks. And no, they can't beat the Celtics. I'd be extremely dissapointed if we do.  This should be an easy match-up for us, regardless of what Lebron does.

I think they'll be easier to beat than the Hawks were ... they're not as many-faceted as Atlanta, and their weaknesses are more easily taken advantage of.

cavaliers also play more into our hands tempo wise. I think it'll be a good series, but we'll wrap it up in 5.

i think we should advance fairly comfortably. good match-ups, lebron will bring it the best he can and always does, but that wont be enough against this celtics team. i don't think so anyway.

The Cavs have a good team, and with the additons they made, especially with D.West, has given them a true pg, unlike before. They are a good three pt.shooting team now,and look like a better team at this stage than they were last season, however, don't think in a 7 game series, they can beat the Celtics. We have to many horses(good players)for them to stop. They are pretty good D team sometimes, but can't consistently stop the C's..as we all know Lebron presents the biggest problem, but we have found ways to contain him in the pass.Matchup wise,i think 1-5,we matchup real well with them.Ogalskus,is probably the toughest matchup for us,but if Perk sets his mind to it,he can slow him down.I dont see why we can't and don't win this series.Predicting the game#,i'll leave it up to the experts.

I think the pre-trade Cavs, especially Gooden, were a tougher matchup for us than the current squad. I think we will do well against them. I see this series going 6 games and we win and play the Pistons.

I think that only one player on the Cavs scares me.  Unfortunately, he scares me very, very much.

Let Lebron have his 35 points per game.  Just don't let him score 30, with 8 to 12 assists.  If the Celts contain Lebron's teammates, they should win this series fairly easily.

Ray has an easier matchup this round with Wally, Rondo can abuse Delonte, and I'm not worried about Ben Wallace on KG.  I'm feeling pretty good about this one, and I think we'll set the tone for the rest of the playoffs in Game 3 on the road, when I predict we'll dominate.

One thing that the Cavs DON'T have that Atlanta gave us trouble with is just that raw athleticism.  Outside of BronBron, they have guys who can get hot shooting the ball, but no one whose sheer altheticism ought to give us trouble.  Make LeBron play some D, know that he's going to get his but don't let Z and Wally and Delonte get hot, stay with them.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Lebron is so overrated.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

I don't think Lebron is overrated.  I think he's a top-two player in the NBA.  He was also incredibly clutch all year long.  He's just proof that it takes a team to win.

i disagree about the way to beat the Cavs.

i think the focus (coincidentally like the Hawks with JJ) should be clamping down on LeBron. you're not going to contain him for the whole series and you're not going to contain him using one strategy, but when you man-up on defense to contain the rest of the team IMO, that's when LeBron runs wild.

i think you need to double him early in possessions and i think you need to do it with different people so he won't get used to who is going to be open and where the double is coming from.

and that's not going to work for the whole series, so you can't do it on every possession.

but like the Hawks, i think you need to put the pressure on the rest of the team to beat you.

I really think are lineup should be a bit different. I really would like to see KG or posey on Lebron most of the time. PP is a good defender but in the long run bron is faster and will blow by him. Put Powe on him take some charges. Seriously lebron is a threat and did everything to get to the finals last year.
