Josh Smith looks utterly dejected.

Good.

A big **** if there's no Tony Allen in this game..

This has been a solid performance today. I don't think it's been a good one.

How do you figure?  The defense has been *amazing*.

The ball movement on offense has been good, and only Ray Allen is having an off-game.

Amazing defense + above-average offense = good game.  We've doubled-up the Hawks so far; if this is only solid, I'd love to see your definition of good.
The results have been great. The performance has been solid.

I don't like the number of shots they've give up around the rim.

The Hawks have given up and have stopped competing here in the second half. Padding the box score now.

They might be giving up inside shots, but they're pressuring and defending those shots, so the Hawks are missing them.  Another opponent might make a few more of those shots, but not enough to make up a 20 point difference (or, 38, as the lead currently stands.)
If you're shooting from 5 feet you're normally going to make a lot of shots.

I don't care if the defense is great around the hoop, if you're shooting 5 footers you're going to score more often than not.

The Hawks were abysmal tonight. Terrible ball movement. No offensive execution. Hardly anyone showed up. Their bigs were walking timebomb whenever they touched the ball. They still got 60% of their shots within 5 feet of the hoop (while this was still a game).

19 missed shots in the paint during the first half versus 4 makes.

They got lucky to build that early lead. Lotta luck.

If Atlanta shot 50% on their 5 footers there would have been no lead. 50% on five footers isn't even good. It's mediocre. Lot of luck. Their last ditch defensive help also bailed them out after giving up the initial shot in the first place.

Is there a mercy rule in the NBA that says if a team is losing so bad at the end of 3 they can decide to not play the 4th?

The Lebrons have to be worried about trying to win a game at the Garden. They're going to need a lot of help from the refs.

I wouldn't be surprised if the C's drafted TA's replacement in June. He's not the same player since the injury.
