Ok, I know this might sound bad, but I can't blame Doc Rivers, only if the series is lost. Don't know why people are really calling these games are upsets other than they won three games. There's no upset unless the Hawks win the series. Anyways, I was very disturbed by a number of things these past few games. 1) Like everyone is saying, this is more of a problem than Doc is... where's the intensity? At home, they play so well (obviously because it's home) and on the road, it's a complete 180 flip. They crush them in the 1st and then lay off the rest of the game. KG? Where's your intensity? You looked more like a rookie than the intense, cursing veteran we're used to seeing... Stuff the crap out of everyone if you have to, KG, to send a message to them that you're not going to let them get up on you. Seemed like KG was rattled since the confrontation in Game 4. Come on, you're our heart and soul in this team and city. Don't let people take that away from you, much less a bunch of 8 seeded Hawks. 2) Where's the calls? Granted for the Hawks, the Celtics were so feared by the wrath of J. Smith that there's no inside game... all jumpers from the C's. But the calls, especially Game 3 with the shot clock, was horrible. Doc made one point where it was a Hawk official and not an NBA official calling the 24 seconds. Seemed like it was 5...... 4...... 3...... 2...... where Boston was 5.4.3.2.1. No excuse for the C's but another reason... 3) The only good play coming out of those last possessions with the C's was the inbound to KG with the easy 2 but what the heck was Ray Allen thinking? You only needed a two! A two! I can't blame him for trying to make the shot but if it's not there to begin with, don't bother, either that or lean on defenders to try and draw a foul. 4) Here comes the blame for Doc. Putting Cassell in front of Rondo? I understand the kid is rattled but he's what you've had all season, not Cassell. and lastly, but less meaningful 5) This doesn't have any relevance but the C's usually struggle against weaker teams, especially in the East. Might not mean anything but if you can go what? 20-5 against the harder conference in the West, you should be able to have no problem in the East. Lastly, do I think the Celtics will lose? No way. Three games @ home were won by 19+ points if this gives me any comfort. Just like the Celtics are rattled in the ATL, the Hawks are more rattled here in Boston. I'll be in Boston Sunday so hopefully I can celebrate when I leave... GO CELTICS!!! 103-88 prediction.
