Just crunching the numbers quick: Atlanta has a 153 to 104 advantage in free throws attempted for the series.  A 33% discrepancy

Why are KG/Allen still in? Put in Tony Allen, give him some confidence.

that is to be expected.  they are a team that attacks the hoop.  we are a jump shooting team.  that will happen all the time.

Sam's a true pro. Right after the KG free throw he fouls right away to get KG his much deserved curtain call.

Baby will EAT you Zaza.  Schooling him on both ends of the floor.  Love it.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Sorry to Wilkins but this series will be done in 6. Celtics have learned their lesson.

Yes, but the discrepincy is a bit ridiculous. Matches how the refs have been calling these games.

Well to start the thread I called for a need for D and wanted Atlanta held at 82 or less for the game. I'm thoroughly discussed that they had the temerity to actually give up 85 points.

That's it, I'm not watching them anymore.

What?....They won by 25!!!

Nevermind!!!

GO GREEN!!

Charles and Kenny already writing the Hawks off, saying it's over in 6.  We need to learn from our mistakes, don't assume anything.  I do NOT want to come back to the Garden until Game 1 of the next series.  Do it in 6 please.  Already can't wait til Friday.  Trying not to get too low after losses or too high after wins, it's so hard though.

Okay, I know I am in the vast minority and will have a bunch of my Green Clad Family telling me I'm kinda stupid but, I just didn't think the referees were bad tonight. Yes, there were bad calls but those bad calls went both ways and when the refs realized they made a bad call, the makeup call was called at the other end.

The difference between the game here and the games in Atlanta is that the refs in Atlanta injected themselves into the game and made sure they made a difference in the game. The refs tonight called the game and when they made a mistake they didn't take the griping personally and let it effect future calls. If they felt there may have been a mistake the makeup call came.

Leon got two offensive charges in the first half and then they give one to Atlanta by calling blocking on Pierce. The Hawks get two 3 second violations, one very bad, in the second half then Posey gets the call. There was a ton of contact on the boards and very few over the back calls, if any, I can't remember. That was in the Celts favor because they were the aggressor on the boards tonight.

No referee team is going to get every call right but I don't see all the griping about this group. When things got physical they calmed them down. We got a sweet call on that KG flagrant and I think that may have been a bit of a makeup for the early T on KG.

I felt menaced by Wilkins gesture. I expect Stern to fine him. ;)

Wow, this was a team effort....

KG was hot early....
Sam and Powe carried the team in the 2nd quarter....
Posey made a huge block and 2 3-ptrs to stop a Hawk run....
Pierce and Ray carried us in the 3rd....
even Big Baby came up with a huge tip that resulted in a 3ptr for Ray...

Awesome effort for this team.... let's carry this same effort to Atlanta.....

Go CELTICS!!!!
