The Boyz are all playing with heart and determination tonight ... even Rondo is mad ... I LOVE it! This is the kind of spirit that's been missing the last two games! Unfortunately the refs keep bailing the Hawks out big-time ... really awful ... I've always liked Dick Bavetta, too, but even he's had a couple of bad calls! Go C's!!
I think they're playing with just as much effort as the last two games, they're just playing smarter.

They got Pierce off early. They've gotten KG the ball. They've gotten easy shots from ball movement. Since they're scoring they've stopped Atlanta's break. The Celtics have looked for their own fastbreak when the opportunity is there.

It's not effort that's the difference. It's smart play.

His right arm hit KG in the head, and the left grabbed his shoulder and threw him to the ground ... either one alone is a flagrant, and with all the crap calls they've been getting, I don't know why anyone would choose just that to complain about. They've been bailed out almost every time down the floor with bad calls, and that one on Perk was all ball! Why don't (Celtics fans) choose those to complain about, instead of taking the other side? Strange skew to point out that one instead. (Especially for someone in green).

Atlanta has only 5 assists at halftime. They have 6 turnovers. Their ball movement has been weak tonight. No different than Game Four. They just didn't have Joe Johnson bail them out with a miraculous performance.

Not remotely the same effort or spirit ... they were playing with no spark, no energy in the last two games, and no one was stepping up. Everyone is stepping up tonight, and it shows. No comparison.

They're stepping up because they're executing the offense. They're getting the ball in the right spots and are doing what they're meant to when they catch it.

I don't agree about the officiating. This game has been immaculate, compared to the two officiating disasters in Atlanta. No sign of Violet Palmer, either, so it's all good.

Love the transition defense, and we're protecting the rim well.

But Doc, forget Tony Allen. Give him a warmup and tell him to get comfortable. If you need a defender on Johnson, play the intelligent ballplayer in Posey. We can't afford to have Tony out there when his brain vapor-locks. And clearly, it will.

By executing a team offense and spreading the ball, the Hawks can't get settled on D, and are working harder, now they aren't as willing to run on offense. Let's keep up this trend in the torture chamber known as the third quarter.

Yeah good TO there Doc, need to calm this down right now.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

We can't stop slowing it down. We can run with these guys. It's better than our half-court offense.
