RIP Mike Ditka. One of those larger than life figures and a man who personified the Bears and the city of Chicago.  Coached one of the all-time teams and also one of the best tight ends of all-time.

Sounds like Arizona has had enough of Marvin Harrison Jr.   Will be interesting to see where he goes and the cost.

Wonky Sunday in the NFC East:

Looks like we had a Miami Miracle in London.

Eagles kicked FG with 8 seconds left, up 17-16. Then after kickoff, Jaguars returned and downed at PHI's 39. Jaguars kicked a 57-yarder and sealed the win 19-17.

And then Giants/Commanders game. WSH had a chance to win with a FG in OT but boneheaded clock management by Dan Quinn costed the team the win and ended with the NFL's first tie of the season. That seems like a fireable offense by Quinn tho.

The NFC East was winless this week.

The Texans sent two picks in the 2027 draft (a second-rounder and sixth-rounder) to the Cardinals for Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round selection, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

LaFleur blamed himself for Harrison not blossoming into what many expected from a No. 4 pick. He has just five catches on 12 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown this season.

"Any guy that does not play to the level that I feel like they're capable of, I'm always going to put that on me in coaching in general," LaFleur said.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

That's a really good question. I lean Miami but Tennesse is doing themselves no favors and Cam is teetering on bust.

completely agree.  as a Wash fan, I'm literally disgusted with how this franchise is being run from the front office down through the coaching.  I expected things to improve (dramatically) once we were out from under Darth Snyder but I'll be [dang]ed if we didn't replace evil incompetence with just plain old rampant incompetence.
