To trade or not to trade, that is the question....

I am not getting too attached to the draft pick.  I see it as maybe 50/50 that they trade the pick at some point.  If we still have the pick in the spring of 2028, I will no doubt be watching the standings, which will be exciting.  But that is a ways off.

They need to trade these picks for another star player within the next 12 months. Cannot imagine Tatum wanting to stick around if they don?t.

OK, as expected it looks like the trade sending Kawhi to the Raptors will go through. The Clippers will have the right to swap picks with the Raptors. So along with hoping the Clippers are awful, we're pushing for Toronto to be good. Let's go Raptors (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap)

It is a pick swap in 2027.  I am not really worried that TOR will be worse than LAC this season (2026-27).  And even if they are, how much difference does a rookie make in the 2027-28 season?  But OK, yes, there is a reason to root for TOR.

It is possible that TOR is in the lottery, and then with the new odds, gets a good pick, but I am not all that worried about that.  This 2028 LAC pick is going to be a good pick.  It will have some trade value.

or have value in adding a good, cheap rookie that's cost controlled for several years since Jaylen's contract was such a motivator for Brad to trade him
