I think both the Heat and 6ers needed Lebron to make those big moves worth it, so I'm a little disappointed that he didn't go to Cleveland.

I still don't think the 6ers are better then the Knicks, but if they can share the ball effectively then this is a very talented team and not one that I want to face in the playoffs. That's a big if, though, with 4 really ball-dominant players.
I'm bitter.

All that talk about Brown wanting to be the guy on a team and he legit is the 4th option on the Sixers.

Brad really needs to make a move to upgrade. Trying to rely on young guys that aren't ready is going to be a disaster. Walsh, Hugo, Baylor just isn't enough. Trade Sam Hauser please.

Embiid-LeBron-Brown-Edgecombe-Maxey is one hell of a starting lineup, Anfernee Simons and Dean Wade off the bench as well.

I get there's some "only one ball" concerns here, but having his much talent does at least insulate you against injuries. LeBron can coast through the regular season and even if Embiid can't stay healthy they'll still have a shot.

76ers finally crack an appearance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

That lineup when healthy is deathly

Looks like this year is probably going to be the Celtics gap year esp if PG can't play more than 50 games.

I think this makes the Sixers the favorites to win it all. Ugh, I hate that.

Interesting stuff here by the always insightful Keith Smith.

Even though LeBron James is signing with the 76ers for the minimum, he'll hit the cap/tax/apron at his actual minimum salary, vs the two-year vet minimum amount.

26-27: $3.9M
27-28: $4.1M

Philly is only $3.4M under their first-apron hard cap That means another move is coming.

The easiest way for the Sixers to fit LeBron James in under their first-apron hard cap is to waive Dalen Terry, who has a non-guaranteed contract.

Philadelphia could also get off some money in a trade by sending a player out without taking any salary back.

Expect the 15th standard roster spot to stay open for now.

If that team meshes they're going to be tough.  But, that's easier said than done.

This makes me hate the Brown trade even more.

It's amazing the snowball effect of Brad not including Hugo and Baylor for Giannis has had on the NBA off-season. With Giannis, the Celtics would have been legit title contenders. And both Philly and Miami would have been closer to play-in status.

Let's also not forget ramifications of the playoff disaster. If the Celtics beat Philly, do the 76ers have the same off-season? Sure, the Celtics still may have traded Jaylen, but would Philly have bothered making the offer?

As for LeBron, he will definitely be a big help for Philly. That team will be fun to watch and should unfortunately be the favorites. However, as with every season for them, Embiid's health is the biggest factor.

It's like the reverse "Bucks trading away Jrue and ending up in Boston"
