DJ was never a captain.  was Bird until he retired and then went to Reggie until he passed and then to Chief.

There was only 1 captain?

Yeah, Bird was solo until he retired. He had replaced Cowens.

yeah, they didn't do multi-captains until later in that decade (90s)

Pervis was indeed a tricaptain under Pitino.

Dee Brown was a cocaptain them a solo captain.

Barros was a co-captain with Antoine in 1999-2000.

The only name I haven?t seen anyone mention was cocaptain for one year with Dee Brown. 

I?m going to guess Dee Brown is the only player in NBA history to be a captain, cocaptain and tricaptain in the same team 😂 .  Also, strangely he was capatin, then not a captain (Rick Fox for a year), then captain again.

The ML Carr season ('96-97).  Can't find much on it (and having a hard time remembering it) but sounds like ML stripped Dee Brown of captain and named Fox solo captain.  Given the chaos & drama back then, no story would surprise me.
