Welcome to the Dog Days of Summer

Starting with the playoffs, it's been a summer filled with many "Wait, what?" moments for Celtics fans:

A Quick Recap:
*The Celtics were unceremoniously bounced in Round 1
*The Knocks (no typo) won the title 
*Celtics drafted Cenac and Mitchell
*Lost out on trading for Giannis
*Traded JB in one of the most polarizing moves in recent memory
*Signed a couple bench veterans
*Extended Queta
*Watched Hugo and Co. in Summer League
*Had subsequent discourse about who will occupy the three 2-way contracts
*Can now speculate who else (if any) could get extended this summer

But now? I'm anticipating mostly silence. The roster is full, the books are mostly set. So barring the stars aligning and Brad executing a big trade, this is likely the team we're rolling into training camp with.

With that said, it's difficult to totally hang it up for the next couple months before the players report. What storylines are still captivating you?

*Re-hashing the franchise's direction after the JB trade
*Forecasting the trajectory of Hugo and Cenac (and maybe PP in a different way)
*General NBA chatter outside of the Celtics

What we have is optionality. I know it seems like a poor return in regards to our basketball fandom, but this summer period gives us optionality.

I am still curious if Sam Hauser will make it to camp.  The team is below the tax, which means there is no need to trade him, but it feels like there are a few teams that might be interested in doing things once LeBron chooses a team, and then once Peyton Watson and Duren sign deals.  And then there are of course Toronto and the Clippers who are both stuck waiting for a law firm to determine it has racked up enough billable hours.

Well played.  Unfortunately, despite reports to the contrary, this franchise does not have many options until we are done the the Paul George contract, which is more optionalistic (my made up word) than if we signed Brown to a 5-year extension, but still not so much optionality.

I will say this was the first draft in a long time we drafted a talented BIG! Yes, you read the correctly!!!! WE DRAFTED A BIG!!!!!! Of course we went for the athletic guard who can?t shoot in the 2nd, BUT!!! We drafted a BIG!!!
