It's interesting to look at a player in videos on Tankathon, etc., but then to go and see them play live you get another whole feel for their game and what it looks like from the eye test.
On Cenac: I agree with "No Nickname" about Cenac's ability to put the ball on the floor is unexpected and does look like a shooting guard or wing player. He had a couple plays where he squared up his man and did the same thing yesterday and it looked odd to see someone that size move liken that, it stuck out to me. That same athletic ability translate defensively for him where he gets low and has long strides retreating on D while staying low. This ties well to his Tankathon profile where is agility scores ('37 Max Vert, 10.76 lane agility, 2.84 shuffle, 9.25' hand length, and a 7'5" wingspan) if you research them are typically only found with wings/guards in the NBA. His agility scores are considered absolutely elite for an NBA big man. You combine that with an already 240 lb frame at 19 years old, the elite wingspan and the agility - you at a minimum have the potential tools for a very special player in time. He may well be able to find time this year defensively and rebounding wise. He is a decent passer and thinks the game pretty well too: re-watch the first minute of two of his playing time against the Hornets yesterday - he does about 3-4 things on both ends of the floor that suggest a fairly high BBIQ. Very high on this kid so far; I woudl look to get him minutes right away with the big team.
On Mitchell: Go to Tankathon and go back and look at Ben Simmons postives and negatives ratings, they are eerily similar to Mitchell's. Mitchell has every bit of the athleticism a young Simmons has with as good a motor and is already a better shooter. I would put him with Drew Hanlen all summer and preseason. The six steal don't tell the full defensive story either, he is incredibly disruptive all over the floor and crashed the offensive boards "extremely" aggressively. He's a relentless motor guy, like Huggo. I think he can play the wing for sure, and he has some point guard skills as well, just needs to get his handle a little better. He had about 4-5 "wow" plays where the whole crowd reacted. I also think he can play with the main team this year. I'm not saying he's a young Ben Simmons, though his profile on Tankathon leans that way, I'm saying he has that kind of game - he is going to become a better and better passerr as time goes on.
