What an incredible first game from PG13. Played 30 mins and finished with 38pts/5rebs/5stls/3ast.     12-21 from the field and 7-12 from 3pt. He was the only starter with a positive +/-.  I did not expect that performance.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It's possible that he just played his best game as a Celtic.  That one will be tough to top.   He shot great and his D is terrific and smart.  A couple bad passes early but at least one was miscommunication.  Just a terrific game from him.  Was really hoping to relish in his performance but the C's couldn't sustain.

If he continues to play even close to that level, BOS will win a lot of games.

The issue with George is gonna end up being availability. He's had games like this with the Clippers and Sixers too but usually the issue is he's not available especially in the playoffs or is limited. It'd be great if he can go 60+ games in the season but that's still a tough ask.

The occasional rest days or "not playing B2Bs" similar to Horford is fine, but with George it's been injuries and also the violation of anti-drug policy last year for 25 games

Load management will be key. Cap him at 30 minutes per game. Rest him on back to backs. If they can do that, I think 60 games played is possible.

It sucks that we wasted his effort today.  It's the most George has scored in years.

If so that'd be awesome. George is still a great defender and he unfortunately also showed that in last year's playoff series

PG will be a very valuable addition to the Cs, not only due to his basketball skill  but also his experience. Unlike Brown, Tatum will see him not as  his competitor but his mentor. I hope Tatum will learn alot from him.

I think that the biggest deficit Tatum has is the ability to be a vocal leader, and I'm not sure George has that skill set, either.

Paul George vs Pistons: 38 PTS (most ever in a Celtics debut) 5 STL 7 3P Joins Jaylen Brown as the only Celtics with 35+ PTS, 5+ STL, 5+ 3P in a game.
