Would you trade Paul George to Washington for Anthony Davis?

Starting 5: Pritchard, White, Tatum, Davis, Queta

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It is an option, but what would we need to send in addition?  Are we willing to extend him?

Nope.

I do not like AD at PF. He needs to play C. He isn't a good enough / reliable enough shooter to play PF.

PG13 will help us more than AD.

He does draw fouls and get to the free throw line better. And we do have two centers that can play next to him, as he prefers to play PF.

If you consider the health of PG vs AD to be a wash, it may be worth it.

I wouldn't want to send out multiple firsts in addition. They traded two 1sts that were guaranteed to be late 1st rounders, and 3 2nds for him. If we sent out the one good 1st we got, would they consider it?

I don't think so, because the Wizards already have a depth problem at their big position.

Say it?s a first round pick and two seconds. Idk what the extension numbers would look like. That?s your department.

If he wants a max extension (he probably does) no way.  If it is our 2027 pick, fine.  The 28 pick, again no.

Look at these games played by AD since the bubble Championship

36 games played (2020-21)
40 games
56 games
76 games
51 games
20 games played (last season)

AD has had 1 healthy year in his last 6 seasons. Ha, that convinced Nico Harrison to trade Luka for him. In fairness to AD, he was healthy for the playoffs in 4 of those 6 seasons and played well in 3 of them.

So in those other 5 years, AD has averaged 40.6 games per year. Add in his healthy year and it rises to 46.5 games per season over his last 6 years.

They traded two late firsts (OKC 2026 pick and a top 20 future pick from GSW) and 3 seconds to get Davis. They'd be looking for a better asset than those.

AD is injury prone, but so is Paul George. I think if Davis is available come playoff time, he makes Boston a contender, though. George does not. AD is also 4 years younger.
