How did JB suddenly become a victim in this narrative?

The Celtics gave him a max contract and then sent him to a contender. I mean, if you were going to ship someone out, they literally sent him to one of the best situations possible, no?

I think getting shipped out with no warning from a gig you like to a completely new set of circumstances is going to be annoying at the best of times, and the trade has been met with an awful lot of vitriol pointed at JB as well as the front office.

It's hard to be too sympathetic to a guy making that much money, but it's not as if fulfilment needs are entirely determined by your salary - hard to feel like you were a valued contributor to the team when everyone is talking about A) how bad your contract is (which is a reflection on your performance) and B) how little your on-the-court performance is valued (based on the trade package, which is also a reflection on your performance).

100%. Imagine having a 50 million dollar per year job in one city, then getting a pay raise, with even more opportunities for professional satisfaction, and getting to go to another city you get to explore and live in carefree. Philadelphia is incredible.

This is all so ridiculous.

Definitely broken relationship. Brown look lost at this point. I am over him at this point. All the best but I still respect and love Tatum a lot more.
