I think it is crazy that Jalen Brunson actually took a pay cut to keep the Knicks core together, the Knicks win the title as a result of his sacrifice and James Dolan immediately states he has no interest in going into the secondary cap apron, and the Knicks lose their depth.

Obviously the Knicks lose is the Celtics gain, but if I was a Knicks fan, the only way I would financially support the team is when James Dolan is dead.

Seriously, people call the Celtics ownership cheap, but they did not pull that kind of stunt.  KAT was ready to take a pay cut on an extension too.

It?s a slap in the face to NYK to sign with the Celtics. Must feel Ray Allen-like to Knicks fans.

Totally agree.  While the Knicks/Celts didn't play each other in the ECF this year, many people believe the C's were the Knicks' toughest competition in the conference if Tatum could have stayed healthy.

100% agree with you, our fanbase can be too hard on the Celtics owners, we are fortunate in comparison.

What makes Dolan and his tight purse strings more egregious is the fact he also owns Madison Square Garden, MSG would be a cash cow for Dolan.

Knicks fans need to remember Allen turned down more money to stay in Boston to go to Miami.  Knicks are filling out their roster with minimum contracts.

Do you think they clued Mitch into the JB trade before he chose to come here?

I doubt it, I was elated with this signing, dumbstruck by the trade that followed.

I don't think he will be. Not many other teams would have been willing to give him all that money with his injury record. Nevermind a better team than BOS.
