I really hate terrible FT shooters. Cant use their other skills at the end of games. But, his other skills are no doubt a need so it?s a plus signing.  Only 28.

Get yourself up to 60% man.

And Jaylen Brown is only 29!
Browns cooked, and the Celtics HAVE to trade him for 33 cents on the dollar. Thats what the media tells me at least

And a handful of irrational people on this blog.

Patience is a virtue.  I'm 54, so I'm not part of the instant gratification gang.

Brad can still pull a rabbit out of his hat and look like a genius in hindsight.

I also guess Mitchell is a bigger upgrade than Porzingis right?

Both are similar in terms of availability, but man, if Robinson can be available especially in the playoffs then the C's can make some noise. Need to tune up on Hauser's position, re-improve on White...need that Jrue replacement.

Watch Joe is going to force Robinson to shoot 3's

Glad he is on our side now...I remember this play so vividly being annoyed by Mitchell.

I mean, if both were healthy and available, I clearly take KP. But, neither is fully healthy, and only one of them was available.

Force him to take 500 free throws daily from now until the season begins

Perhaps I'm overthinking this, but I don't fear the free throw thing.  Go ahead and hack Robinson.  Now you're that much closer to the bonus against a team with two wings who love to get to the line, and they were able to catch their wind because you slowed the pace of the game.  Pushing Robinson out of the game in exchange for Queta is of questionable benefit to begin with.

Obviously I'd prefer if he shot better from the line but I don't think it's some crippling weakness either.

I'd force him to master free throws first. Queta didn't shoot many threes....

It's always nice to grab a key contributor from a playoff rival.

That is my opinion too. If you want to load your team up with fouls and get to the bonus early, be my guest.  We can sub out Robinson and let the Js drive much more aggressively to the basket when that happens.  It is a strategy that might sometimes work, but overall I was not impressed with it.  Joe tried it out of desperation because we were so weak inside, but generally Robinson made enough free throws to have it backfire or we got out of rhythm because we kept subbing in guys just to foul, and then were in the bonus and unable to guard Brunson.

You?re right, but I still hate bad FT shooters.  I shouldn?t be a better FT shooter than anyone who plays in the NBA.

Robinson will be an asset if healthy but I see no reason that he can?t improve his FTs.  60%.

His offensive rebounding a shot blocking are good assets.  He badly outplayed Kornet in Finals.

I still don't want Pritchard starting.  Is Conley capable of starting at his age?  If not, then Harper maybe.

I think Brad wants to design this team to be defensively elite.

Ok, we know this is fixible.  Look what Drummond did, his first 5 years in the nba he was a 38% foul shooter.  He now shoots  high 50s to 60%.  It can be done.

I think it is crazy that Jalen Brunson actually took a pay cut to keep the Knicks core together, the Knicks win the title as a result of his sacrifice and James Dolan immediately states he has no interest in going into the secondary cap apron, and the Knicks lose their depth.

Obviously the Knicks lose is the Celtics gain, but if I was a Knicks fan, the only way I would financially support the team is when James Dolan is dead.

Seriously, people call the Celtics ownership cheap, but they did not pull that kind of stunt.  KAT was ready to take a pay cut on an extension too.

Problem is, this is not news to Robinson. If a team hacks you to get you to the line, you know you need to work on your FTs. But it hasn?t paid off yet. Idk - get Calvin Murphy here and lock them in a gym for week.
