I think Tatum is more concerned about contending than individual success. I would imagine Brad is keeping JT in the loop to some extent. I hope he is at least. Already have one disgruntled star.

I'm thinking of Pierce and Toine. Pierce wanted to contend too, but he didn't get restless right away. He wanted a chance to show everything he could do as the man. Only after a few years of mediocrity did he start to chafe.

I'm sure he's much more tuned into what is really going on within the organization than all the craziness that is being floated out there by the media.  I'm guessing, more than anything, he's eager to get ready for the upcoming season and the hope to be truly back to normal (as close as possible) again.  I'm sure this is a bit of noise to him but I also think he's primarily focused on himself right now.  I honestly think this whole thing isn't affecting him terribly. He knows there is a business side to it.

I?d be getting tired of this non-sense and the passive-aggressive nature of my running mate. He has been exemplary as a superstar player for us, despite the tremendous noise that has always surrounded the pairing of the two. But at some point I think even the most patient would get sick of this non-sense.

You have to think Brad is keeping in communication with Tatum and his camp and that he has to be fine with JB coming back if we do consider it. If he is, then great that?s better than taking 40 cents on the dollar, but it?s still a problem that we?ll have to deal with eventually.

John Karalis was talking about this. Tatum has said several times in the past to reporters that he doesn't want the responsibility of making personnel decisions / having influence in personnel decisions / being involved in any way in personnel decisions. He doesn't want that pressure. He wants nothing to do with it. Keep it away from me. He doesn't want to make decisions / have influence over his teammates' futures. He just wants to play basketball.

Tatum averaged 30ppg for an entire season with JB playing. He is regularly All-NBA first team. He is the man. Nothing to prove.

I think JT is taking the whole Jaylen drama (which the media has really been whipping up) much better than we are. We're fans - liking and disliking players is part of fandom. As a player, a part of a team, I think you're a lot more pragmatic about things. Jaylen has never said he wants to leave. He's never said he hates JT or can't play with him. To the contrary, both players have sacrificed to win a championship. I don't think JT is a prima donna. I think he's just focusing on himself and his family, enjoying the offseason, and making sure he's in the best physical shape he can be for the coming season which is 4 months away.

I might be an exception but all the noise around Jaylen isn't bothering me at all, probably because I haven't looked at social media much this week or listened to opinion shows and hosts with basketball related things, I've been enjoying and focusing on the World Cup. I just read the Globe, ESPN and the Athletic and nothing I've read from those publications has struck me as anything other than the usual offseason speculation. I don't hate either of the Jays, I would love for JB to stay and in fact I think that's the most likely scenario but if he gets traded I trust Brad would have his reasons. Mostly I trust Brad to make the right decision.
