If we can't get Mobley, what about this  :police:

He did score 83 points and shot like 22 3s I think so he should suit Joe's offense just fine

Murphy, Jones and three firsts?  Get it done.

That proposal does not quite work with salaries, but this one does:

Murphy
Jones
Hawkins
Missi
FRPs

The fun thing is we can absorb Murphy through the Simons trade exception, Jones through the MLE, Hawkins through the Niang exception, and Missi through the Holiday exception, creating a brand new $57.1 million TPE for Jaylen.

Zion and Trey works. Maybe a little more would be needed

I would genuinely feel terrible for JB if he were to be traded to the Pelicans. Also, Im not doing it for less than Murphy, Queen, and picks.

Mobley is the best option. If Cleveland is down for it, I say go for it. I think Mobley has a chance to level up, big men used to be given years to develop, it?s entirely possible that Mobley hits his physical prime and ascends to a top 5 big in the league.

The fit with Tatum is likely better than it was with Donovan Mitchell. Get it done.

I'd prefer to keep JB over those deals.  BUT, I don't know if it's fun, but it's one heck of a consideration to pulling that trigger if it kept us under the tax for a full reset on the repeater tax and giving us a massive spending option the following year to really build up the team.

It also would put us in the driver seat for a star who wants to move at the trade deadline.  Being able to match almost any salary in February by sending much less salary back is a huge advantage.

See I don't think those sort of offers get it done. Well the Mobley one might, but I like Mobley more than most and I don't think Cleveland would do that deal. I have NO interest in centers like Senguin or Sabonis, none. And the rest of these deals are sub-all star level guys and draft picks.

Tatum is 29 years old next year, blowing a year or two of his prime waiting for draft picks or another star to become available would be insane.

If Brad does a trade like that its because the relationship behind the scenes is unsalvageable, and maybe that's the case, but I haven't seen that reported yet and until I do I can't see how these draft pick heavy packages make sense.

I guess maybe if a team comes along and just offers so much you can't say no. Like 5 firsts with two of those having major upside, a truly "blow you away" offer. But I'm skeptical that's coming.
