The Memphis Grizzlies have acquired Isaiah Stewart from the Memphis Grizzlies for three second round picks.

Yeah, this was mentioned in the off-season rumours / trades thread. I was wondering if this move would open up another move and make Santi Aldama available for a trade from MEM.

PF: Cam Boozer, Santi Aldama
 C: Zach Edey, Isaiah Stewart

There is not enough minutes to go around. Boozer, Aldama and Edey are all guys who deserve 30mpg. Stewart is a 20-25mpg guy. Not enough minutes.

Then again ... maybe they keep them all because they don't trust Z Edey's health / injury issues and want that extra insurance. That extra big man depth.

But I would love Aldama as a backup PF/SF behind Tatum & Jaylen. That would be a terrific forward rotation.

We're here playing Checkers and the Grizzlies are playing with temporal forces.

There's no way Detroit would have made this same trade with the Celtics and improve a major competitor in the East.
