If you get a first do you trade for Ja?

Was just thinking about the Ja rumors on teams asking for a pick. Ja has two more years on his deal. Maybe a change to Boston straightens him out or maybe we use him as an expiring next year in a deal? Is it worth the rehab gamble if we also get a pick?  How many picks would you want if one isn't enough?

I think Ja needs a change of scenery, especially going to a winning organization. This is the type of gamble Brad needs to make. If Brad keeps on hesitating, then pretty soon there will be no more deals to make and we'll be stuck with the same team and losing in the first or second round.

But here's the thing if you give JB that extension. You are paying a guy max money that is going to tire your hands on what you can do in terms of the players you can put around the 2. This new CBA sucks for us(although I like the reason it's there) and we have to build around that type of system that allows us to have a team of capable players, not 2 guys and scrubs.
PP is going to want to get paid.

I think JB's contract and age is what is limiting our options on trade deals.
JT has a number of good years ahead of him yet, so I'd be ok with trading JB for good picks that can either be used to get some guys or used to land some lesser paid upgrades.

I'm ok if the team punts this next year if there's a plan to really get us back to the top the following season. We don't have to not trade becasue we're not getting close enough value in the now for JB.

I'd say offense in general is a plus for Morant, defense depends on Morant struggles with size and White struggles with speed. I just think drawing fouls is where Morant brings added value that Cs don't have in White. We are also talking picks here too.
