Saw this idea floated on Twitter, and I thought it was interesting.

They?re both basically the same age and have close salaries and general value, and there?s questions about each?s fit or desire to remain on their current team.

If Mitchell agreed to an extension with Boston, which team would say no? I do think it makes some sense for both teams, especially if Brown is wanting out now after the Giannis saga. Mitchell would work well in our system, and we have the perimeter D to help cover his deficiencies. As for Cleveland, I think JB/a star wing makes more sense on that team than Mitchell.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

EDIT: Nevermind - back on the Fire Joe Train!

Brown is Better.

If the C's are to trade Jaylen it will need to be a small reset and better to disperse the salary amongst two players versus one.  Also, draft assets.

To bad Washington wouldn't trade #1 for JB.

Kessler and #2 for JB is one I would 100% do.

I still think Chicago for Giddey and picks makes the most sense. You're getting a young wing with high level passing ability, doesn't need a ton of shots, and locked up on a reasonable deal, but not a superstar. I'm sure they'd part with #15 pick as well and have the cap room to do it.

White / Giddey / Pritchard / Hugo / Hauser / Tatum / Queta / Scheierman / Queta / Walsh / #15 / #27 and ~$25-30M off our books is 10+ deep and a playoff team, with a clear #1 option and a solid 8 man rotation prior to two first rounders and whatever big man we can find.

On the flip side, I doubt Chicago could resist adding Brown AND their #4 pick (in a consensus top heavy draft)

I know, you'd want more for Brown, but I don't see where we're getting that from (unless Chicago is crazy enough to do #4 and Claxton or something).

To me this keeps us exactly where we are now?? so what is the point?? We need a true quality center. As I said in another post, the Sixers didn't beat us, Joel Embiid did!

The Mitchell trade is a please no, and I?d say the same for Giddey unless it includes #4.  JB might overstate his own ranking as a 2-way player, but he?s not far off (can?t think of anyone better off the top of my head - at least not anyone who is human). Maybe Tatum.

I do.

Why are we doing this exactly? A change just for the sake of change.

If Jaylen comes out and says he wants a trade then fine, we look into it. As for now he's under contract for three years.
