Through 5 picks the draft has gone as expected. Things now get interesting here at 6.

Brown, Acuff, Flemmings, Burries are the next group. A bunch of guards with no real consensus.

My attention has been elsewhere. No trades so far?

Not loving the Wagler pick.

He looks frail. Physically frail. Like he will get pushed around by everybody.

Darius Garland is a small physically weak PG too. Those two will get massacred on defense. I don't think Wagler starts as a rookie. I think he comes off the bench.

G: D Garland, K Dunn
G: Kobe Sanders, Keaton Wagler
F: Kawhi Leonard, Ben Mathurin
F: Derrick Jones Jr, Jordan Miller
C: (B Lopez), Niederhauser

That team has gotten a lot younger in a short space of time. The promotion of young wings in J Miller and K Sanders. The addition of Mathurin. The drafting of K Wagler. Niederhauser going from a non-player to someone they will probably have to play next year.

All the old guys are gone. Batum. Bogdanovic. John Collins is a FA. We will see if B Lopez comes back or not. K Dunn is the only old guy there other than Kawhi. Dunn is a FA too.

Keaton Wagler gained over 20 pounds during his time at the University of Illinois, going from around 168 pounds to weighing 188 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine.

His collegiate strength and conditioning program forced him to change his nutritional habits, transforming his once-lanky high school frame into a stronger, more physically prepared prospect.

I like Darius Acuff Jr.  think he?s going to be really good.

I have no idea how Brooklyn's pieces fit together.

Does Egor Demin start? Is he a PG? A SG? A SF?
Mikel Brown Jr - PG or SG?
What about Ben Saraf and Nolan Traore? Starters or bench?

MPJ and J Randle are locked in at the two forward slots. It sounds like they want to promote Dayron Sharpe to their starting center. So that is 3 positions where we know what they are doing.

They got their replacement for De'Aaron Fox.

-------------

So with DeRozan getting waived that means De'Andre Hunter is likely to start? Probably.

G: Darius Acuff, Westbrook / D Carter
G: Z LaVine, Malik Monk
F: Keegan Murray, Nique Clifford
F: De'Andre Hunter, (FA)
C: D Sabonis, M Raynaud

Not pretty. No defense. No physicality outside of Sabonis. Subpar rebounding 1 through 4.

Hawks used #8 and looks like they are keeping him. Probably takes them out of the Murphy and Jaylen convos? #11 will be interesting with Golden State on the Murphy front

I do not expect anything to happen tonight. Cs will let things die down...let the waters calm with Brown and then mend the fence. Extension in July.

Wow! Morez Johnson went Top-10. 3-4 months ago I legit thought there was a chance he could be there for the Celtics

Johnson is going to do a lot of the dirty work for Flagg and the Mavs
