As it currently stands, USA would play Ecuador in the Round of 32. Yes please!

Aren't Ecuador a very strong defensive team and are difficult to play against?

They can't score though. So there is that.

Ecuador is a team that is underperforming, so if they play up to their capabilities, it?s not a walk in the park. They did just draw against a team with a population smaller than Cape Cod though.

Yeah they can't score, and even their defense has looked leaky at times. Their goalie also made amazing saves yesterday, not as many as the Curacao one though. Ivory Coast had quite a few chances and ultimately broke through late in their game vs. Ecuador

I would prefer Bosnia or Qatar (Qatar 1000% lol) but Ecuador doesn't scare me either. Now if they draw Senegal, Netherlands or Norway that'd be really bad

The only thing I worry about with Qatar is they start kicking people when they are behind  :-\ don't want them injuring one of our guys  >:(

Impressive, but now they need to finish the job vs. Saudi Arabia.

2 more goals for Messi.  Passed Klose with the 1st one for all time record and then extended it right at end of game.  Haaland and Mbappe need to keep pace later or the golden boot may be close to wrapped up.

Argentina has 5 goals this tournament, all from Messi.

The way their likely path is setup though, they might not really face a tough team until the quarterfinals (Colombia or Portugal).
