Fantastic way to open the World Cup, and the scoreline will help with goal difference as well

I liked the fact that they made that rule change to allow the VAR to review diving which results in a yellow card (the "Mistaken Identity") rule. Tim Ream was initially booked for fouling Almiron because he performed an Olympic-worthy dive but the VAR notified the referee to review it on the video and on review the card was rescinded and Almiron was booked for simulation. Now if only we could do that in the NBA

FIFA has it right. Meanwhile the NBA would just look away and maybe at best just say "oops we made an oopsie" in the L2M they post the day after (pointless)  ::) ::) ::)

Saw a meme from a basketball fan "how to watch grown men flop and complain for 90 minutes" and someone responds "how's that different from LeBron, SGA and the NBA?" 💀😬

USA played well against Paraguay last night. Pretty impressive.

OH MY GOD.

QATAR TIES IT IN THE 95TH MINUTE. 1-1 draw vs. the Swiss. Unreal. Awesome for them

That was crazy, and they were so overcome with joy, their first World Cup point  :police:

Morocco score first! Brazil slit open right down the middle with a through ball to get behind the two center backs, they looked like Vucevic does when he defends a guard on the perimeter  :police:

That pass was ridiculous to setup the goal. Not just in between the two defenders. Not just weighted to perfection. But had some curl on it too. Absolutely amazing ball.

Beautiful finish too.

Morocco deserve it. They have been the better side.

And Brazil are level! Vini Jr creates something out of nothing to equalize from an acute angle

Not wild about Paqueta or Thiago in that 1st half. Not enough cutting edge from those two central attackers. Raphinha out wide on the right has been anonymous. Need to get him more central.

Cunha should come on for Paqueta. Get a more dynamic attacker in there who can interchange positionally with Raphinha.

A drawback of Thiago though. They had more fluidity before putting Thiago into the team. But he can only play as a #9. Does not link up the play well that well either. It leaves the other 3 more separated rather than a 4 man fluid frontline that they had before.
