LeBrick going to hold free agency hostage once again.

Hopefully he just signs with Golden State quickly and gets it over with.  He'd have to take a pretty huge financial hit to do so, though.

I read that LeBron told his agent (Rich Paul) to talk to every and any NBA team that is interested in him. Then come back to LeBron with the offers. Then he will decide.

So it probably won't be quick.

The Decision 3.0  :P

If I were him, I would go to Cleveland tbh. Mitchell, Harden, Mobley and Lebron would be scary and the best in the East. They could offload Jarrett Allen somewhere and fit him in. They'd still have adequate depth. But I wonder if he wants to go to Golden State because it enhances his brand even more being there, and potentially finishing his career alongside Curry. With Lebron, he can say he wants to compete for rings but I still think his real priority is enhancing his brand + earnings (as a player and advertisements) since he also has dreams of being a higher-up at some point later in his career. He's part of FSG but he could want to go further.

LeBron isn't that big of scare or addition anymore.  His declined quite a bit last post season his FG and 3P % were done three points each a big drop from the previous year.   No man beats Father Time.

The Washington Wizards are not interested in trading 10-time NBA All-Star forward Anthony Davis and are not listening to trade offers for him, a source told
@espn

@andscape
. Another NBA team exec says Wizards GM Will Dawkins is a huge fan of AD.

I am really surprised. Unless this is just a negotiation tactic, Davis would expect a long term deal if he was to stay in Washington. After giving Trae Young a huge contract, how are they going to resign any of their high draft picks?

Both very close to the projections and at the same time for us amateur capologists, rounding makes a difference.  The estimate was reported to be $165 million for the cap and $201 million for the luxury tax in March.  The cap is right there pretty much.  But the tax is over $500k lower.  And yet, in March the number could have been $200.5 million, which rounds to $201 million, so the difference is negligible.  I am sure the Celtics have been operating with a more precise estimate, but it lopped off $500k space from my spreadsheet just now, so offering the full MLE to someone is a little tighter than it used to be.

I miss the days when players/teams didn't even pretend not to tamper and every free agent somehow magically signed all at once at 6:00pm.

haha - me too.

Now they all have to pretend to allow enough time before they announce things.

I don't know that he does anything for Miami.

He is older now. More of a SF than a SG. They already have A Wiggins, P Larsson, S Fontecchio at SF.

So they will probably play T Hardaway at SG where he will struggle more defensively. They had Dru Smith there who is a decent player. I doubt Tim provides any more than Dru would have. Just different, not better.

Edit: I forgot Norm Powell is set to leave. So Miami have no other SGs. Tim Hardaway might start in Miami. Dru Smith his backup.

------

A significant loss for DEN's bench tough. He played well there. He was 2nd on the team behind Jamal Murray in 3 pointers made and attempted (6.9 3PTA to 7.5 3PTA). Cam Johnson and Aaron Gordon were next but much lower volume at around 4.5 3PTA per game. P Watson and C Braun lower again at 3.3-3.6 3PTA. Tim Hardaway was the only real high volume 3 point threat they had outside of Jamal Murray.

I was listening to MPJ on Perk's podcast Road Trippin' a while back. He said he knew Cam Johnson was going to struggle to score like MPJ did in DEN because Cam doesn't take bad threes. He doesn't take 3s when there are hard closeouts. Tough 3s. MPJ said he would take any types of 3s so MPJ got up more shots overall. He knew Cam Johnson would struggle to get up as many shots in DEN's offense because the quality of them would be lower than he likes.

Then MPJ said, however, that Timmy Hardaway Jr, he is just like me [MPJ], he will fire up any 3pt attempt available. No problems. No conscience. Bad shot, good shot, he is taking it. Just like MPJ would. So MPJ said he knew Timmy would do well in DEN.

Interesting observations by MPJ.
