Won't surprise me if Boston doesn't sign anyone for a bit. I do think they wait a few weeks to bring anyone in via FA.

I swear to god if we just run it back with Queta, Garza and another minimum signing (or Vucevic)...

Almost all the MLE targets will be gone within 1-2 weeks.

They will be looking at minimum contract guys after that.

So, just as a reminder how free agency works, since a refresher seems needed.  Teams are not allowed to reach out to free agents until 6pm, and are not to announce anything before midnight tonight, except with your own free agents.  So while it may seem like Brad is doing nothing, if we actually heard a credible rumor of the Celtics reaching out to a player, that would mean the Celtics broke the rules.  So you should not want to hear anything for another few hours.

All the announcements so far have been players remaining with their original teams before hitting free agency.

Ever since Brad took over we havent had cap space really.

Signed Gallinari on July 12th which I believe is his biggest signing.

He waited until they guaranteed Bronny's deal before announcing it too

He has generally not had much free agent flexibility because of being over the first apron or trying to get under the tax.  The biggest name and salary I can recall was Dennis Schroeder, who they got about a week into free agency.

Not a lot left on the Center market.

Claxton--> Traded to Chicago
Sharpe--> Re-signed in Brooklyn
Stewart--> Traded to Memphis
R Williams--> Re-signed in Portland
Nurkic--> Re-signed in Utah
Ayton--> Opted in with Los Angeles
M Williams--> Re-signed with Phoenix
Porzingis--> Re-signed with Golden State
Horford--> Re-signed with Golden State
Reid--> Traded to Charlotte

- Only FA left who really interests me at anywhere close to MLE is Mitchell Robinson.
- Wendell Carter Jr is interesting but not sure if ORL wants to move him.
- With San Antonio drafting two centers maybe a Luke Kornet re-union makes some sense.
- Reports say Derick Lively hasn't started running yet, so DAL probably not super motivated to move Gafford.
- Myles Turner probably too expensive to make sense.
- Thomas Sorber, first rounder last year, could be interesting flier if OKC wants to shed more salary.

Forgot about Gallo.  That was a disappointment.

And M Robinson is an injury prone guy who is almost as bad as Timelord. M Robinson's last 4 seasons are 60 games played, 17 games, 31 games, 59 games. A total of 167 games in 4 years. Roughly 50% of the available games.

I don't trust his body at all. I don't want to invest in him. He has played the lowest minutes of his career these past 2 years. He still looks gassed every game after playing only a few minutes. I don't think he can stay healthy particularly if he has to play more minutes moving forward.

M Robinson is the only remaining option on the FA market and it is a crap option.

Yes, he's about as injury prone as Time Lord but worth noting Timelord also got pretty close to the full MLE. That's just the market for "Talented but injury prone" centers.

Not sure I'd want to do it, but there are no perfect options.
