I optimize the fun out of games.

The hack to this one is getting Wilt from the 60s Warriors. If the rest of your team is decent, you'll automatically be close. Best I've gotten is 81-1.

Edit: Just got 82-0.
C Wilt from 60s Warriors
PF Ewing from 90s Knicks
SF Barkley from 90s Suns
SG Carter from 00s Nets
PG Francis from 00s Rockets

Hmm.  I'm not sure that I buy that team going 82-0.

Lol - I don't disagree. But 60s Wilt is the hack.

I got a nice start with 90s LAL and 20s BOS taking Magic Johnson and Jayson Tatum. Then I got 90s MIL back to back. Vin Baker and Ray Allen. Not too bad. Then 00s BOS. Kevin Garnett at center alongside Baker in the post.

The game gave it a 60-22 record.

I am surprised that team did not have a better record. I wonder how they rate Kevin Garnett for BOS. They have his stats at 17.5ppg / 9rpg / 3apg / 1.3spg / 1.3bpg. Do they have him as a big difference maker? Or just a high quality starter?

Vin Baker had almost identical numbers as KG but obviously nowhere near the impact defensively. So does the game rate the same? Or differently? Baker was 18.3ppg / 9.5rpg / 2.7apg / 1.3bpg / 0.9spg.

Ray's 90s stats were lower than I expected. Only 16.6ppg 3.5apg. Maybe I should have gone with Glenn Robinson or Dale Ellis or Ricky Pierce instead.

I seem to get those 90s MIL a lot. 90s GSW. And 90s WAS. They are the 3 teams I get the most.

I find the 70s Seattle one tricky.

So many players around the same level - Gus Williams, Dennis Johnson, Spencer Haywood, Jacks Sikma.

I never know which one to choose.

Edit: I don't think the game likes DJ or Sikma much. Haywood went okay. I haven't picked Gus yet.

Also, I have yet to get 60s or 70s Celtics come up in this thing. Btw yesterday and today, I've had to done this thing close to 100 times and prob gotten 10s BKN at least 7 times.

Look at these for the first 3 picks and final 2 picks:

First 3 = Oscar Robertson, Luka Doncic, Michael Jordan
Last 2 = 20s CLE, 90s DAL to pick my two big men

I went with Evan Mobley and Sam Perkins. 69-13.

Fun team

C: David Robinson
F: Evan Mobley
F: Andre Iguodala
G: David Thompson
G: Steph Curry

64-18

All that length, defense and athleticism in the frontcourt. D-Rob and Mobley would be so much fun to watch. Iggy as your wing stopper do-it-all glue guy. Mobley as a glue guy as well. Then prolific scoring guards in D-Thompson and Steph Curry.

Brooklyn in the 2010s is another bad one to get. I have gotten them a bunch of times.

They have moved on from J-Kidd, Vince, RJ. This is the Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, Deron Williams era. Then old KG and PP. Then horrible temas. And Kyrie and Durant do not join until the 2020s.

I keep taking JJ but his numbers end up being 14.7ppg. Maybe I should take Brook Lopez - 19.5ppg 7.0rpg. I wonder what Deron's numbers are - 16.6ppg 7.5apg. Yeah, JJ is the wrong pick.

How is this for an all-offense team?

I got 20s DEN for the 1st time. Jokic. Then I surrounded him with 90s Nique, 80s Gervin, 20s Zion.

My final selection was 90s SEA so I got Gary Payton as the only real defender on the team to be my floor general.

I wonder if the game likes Billy Cunningham more than Julius Erving for the 1970s 76ers.

B Cunningham = 22.4ppg 11.4rpg 5.2apg 1.1spg 0.4bpg
J Erving = 21.8ppg 7.4rpg 4.0apg 1.8spg 1.3bpg

The game doesn't seem to rate Dr J high when I select him for either 1970s 76ers or 1980s 76ers.

Oooh, 80s Miami. I haven't had that one before.

I thought I was going to have to go with Kevin Edwards as the trivia selection for the lowest top scorer on a team in NBA history with 13.3ppg. Luckily, they also had Rony Seikaly. Actually that is rookie Rony. That might not be any better. 10.9ppg 7rpg 25mpg.

I ended up with Cade (20s DET), LeBron (10s LAL), Kawhi (10s SAS) and Pau Gasol (00s MEM) around Rony Seikaly. It was still only a 58-24 team.

Maybe Kawhi isn't that good for 2010s SAS. 16.4ppg 6.2rpg 1.8spg. Those developing guys seem to get hit. You don't get peak Kawhi. You get all the 2010s from solid starter, to above starter, to star, to superstar all averaged out. I noticed the same with 1990s Seattle with Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton.

Here is a fun one. A dodgy 1st pick with 2010s SAC where I took DeMarcus Cousins but the next 4 picks were nice. 2020 HOU with Durant, 00 BKN with J-Kidd, 2020 LAL Luka, 2010 CLE LeBron.

G: J Kidd
G: Luka Doncic
F: K Durant
F: LeBron
C: D Cousins

72-10

I just realized I have never gotten 1980s BOS.

It was only after getting 90s BOS and selecting Larry Bird that I realized I never got the 80s BOS. Bird was my 4th selection. I had 2010 PHO Nash. 1980s DAL Ro Blackman. 1970s ATL Dan Roundfield and my 5th selection was 1980s Pat Ewing. 60-22.
