I was excited by the idea of Cam Boozer and Zach Edey at first but now I am wondering if they are a good fit.
I loved the idea of two huge guys who can beat up smaller teams.
(1) Zach Edey is paint dweller. 90% of his shots come inside of 10 feet. If Edey is camped out in the paint, will Boozer have enough space to post up smaller PFs? And/or post up perimeter players off of switches? Will be the paint be too clogged?
(2) Will Boozer need a stretch 5 to open the paint for him in order to allow him to post up? And if he has a stretch 5, why wouldn't the opponent just stick their PF on the stretch 5 and use their center to deter Boozer in the paint? Would a stretch 5 even be a good fit with Boozer?

On the positive side, Edey is a tough center to help off of inside. He is so big (7-3 300lbs) other players will struggle to help down him like they can with normal centers. Boozer is a strong passer. That combo could create easy looks for Edey and stop double teams from Edey's man and allow Boozer space to operate.
It is a bit like Shaq on that 2011 Celtics team. He was so big he carved out lots of space for passes and dunks inside from Rondo and others. Edey will do the same. His man helps off of him, can he recover? Can a perimeter player help down & bother his interior shot after Edey receives the ball? Can they help down and stop the pass from happening against a guy who is that big of a target? And that difficult to get around his body?

I have no concerns about Cam Boozer being able to provide quality spacing for the offense. I am concerned about whether Cam Boozer will be able to use his size & strength to score inside if Zach Edey is setup in there.
