With the draft order set and combine starting I figured I would toss out a mock

1   Wizards   AJ Dybantsa

2   Jazz   Darryn Peterson

3   Griz   Cam Boozer

4   Bulls   Caleb Wilson (I wont be shocked if his buzz gets really loud in the top 3, a great fit with Bulls roster)

5   Clippers   Nate Ament (this is probably a reach and honestly a pick I think they look to move back 2-3 spots)

6   Nets   Mikel Brown Jr

7   Kings   Darius Acuff

8   Hawks   Keaton Wagler

9   Mavs   Kingston Flemings

10   Bucks   Brayden Burries

11   Warriors   Jayden Quaintance (medicals are big here)

12   Thunder   Yaxel Lendenborg

13   Heat   Labaron Philon

14   Hornets   Morez Johnson Jr.

15   Bulls   Aday Mara (paired with Giddey, Buz, and Wilson they can be foundational pieces of a fun fast paced team)

16   Griz   Camaron Carr (love the idea of surrounding Boozer with length and shooting)

17   Thunder   Chris Cenac Jr

18   Hornets   Bennett Stirtz (another dribble/pass/shoot guy for them)

19   Raptors   Karim Lopez (maybe they are past the upside swings and look more for fit but he would have been their type in the past)

20   Spurs   Koa Peat (the slide could give him the perfect fit next to Wemby)

21   Pistons   Christian Anderson (they need playmaking off the bench)

22   76ers   Dailyn Swain

23   Hawks   Hannes Steinbach

24   Knicks   Tarris Reed (Mitch Robinson FA insurance)

25   Lakers   Tounde Yessoufou (like his fit in a simple role next to Luka/Reaves)

26   Nuggets   Isaiah Evans

27   Celtics   Meleek Thomas (long been a fan of Thomas learning under White/PP)

28   T-Wolves   Ebuka Okorie (Dilingham proved to be a waste of assets but Okorie could give them the player they where hoping for)

29   Cavs         Joshua Jefferson

30   Mavs   Zuby Ejiofor

That would be cool if the Jazz drafts Cam Boozer. Son and father both be affiliated with the Utah Jazz. And son was actually born in SLC, Utah.

3   Griz   Cam Boozer

Does Cam Boozer suit the Grizzlies at all?

They already have Santi Aldama at PF and Zach Edey at C. I wouldn't be excited about Cam Boozer if I were a Grizz fan. I'd rather him trade him for some help at a different position. Preferably on the wing.

--------------

I didn't expect MEM in the top 4. I thought they would take one of the guards in the 5-7 range as their Ja Morant replacement.

If the Grizz move on from Morant Boozer would become the hub of their offense. The D with him and Edey would be an interesting puzzle but I think people are loosing sight of how special a player Boozer is. Like Luka in 2018 he isnt going to blow people away as a run jump athlete but he is a special bball talent. Four/Five pick and role with boozer and Edey will be a nightmare for teams to defend and I trust the Grizz front office to build a core of long wings to put around them.

Theoretically, he could be an upgrade over both.

Aldama started 11 games. He?s not a legitimate starter. Boozer would slot in at the PF position. He?s too small to play center, though.

Assuming the Grizz move on from Morant, they?d have a starting 5 of: Pippen Jr, Coward, Wells, Boozer, Edey

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Why would they want to do that? It was a very enjoyable regular season. Who cares about the playoffs.

I like Aldama. I think he will make a good starter. He scores well, shoots well, passes well. Rebounds well. Defence ain't great but it is passable. I think he should leave MEM if he doesn't get a chance to be a starter. I'd rate him as a top 20 PF in the league.

Now you don't pass up Cam Boozer just because of Aldama. That is not the issue. But I do rate Aldama as a quality starter.

I rate Cam Boozer more like Kevin Love.

Luka is in another stratosphere. I don't see Boozer reaching that.

I really like Darius Acuff Jr. After the top 4, I think he might have the most upside.

you really see Johnson going at 14?  pretty much all other mocks have him going at 20 at the earliest --> somewhere that our 1st and Hauser could get us a higher pick to get him.

Apparently Ament (small forward from Tennessee) measured 6'9.5" barefoot today and doctors have told him that he has more room in his growth plate and could possibly get taller by another two inches.

Too bad he's a pretty uninspiring player on the court.

The top 4 seem pretty well set with Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer, and Wilson.  5 is where the draft starts I think.  I have no idea what the Clippers are going to do.  Are they going to trade the pick for a star, keep the pick, trade back.  So much uncertainty.  5-10 prospects are mostly guards and point guards at that, which with Garland doesn't make the value great for the Clippers.  Maybe they trade Garland and take one of the PG's at 5.  Of course that almost signals a rebuild, which means maybe they move Kawhi as well.

I wonder what the 5th picks value is in a trade.  Can that yield them a 3rd star?
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Yeah.  Someone will draft him high because of his measurables, but I do not see it in terms of basketball skills.
