Absolutely. I wanted Brown to go with Smart and others. You can't trust him, possibly the worst high usage player if you at assist/turnover-ratio. A great scorer yes, but he doesn't make others better. Although plus-minus numbers can be misleading, it should disturb any Celtics fan that over the season Brown had the worst plus-minus numbers of the team despite supposedly being the clear cut best player.

Unfortunately I don't think the Celtics will be looking to trade him and quite frankly I don't know which team actually would be very interested in Brown and be able to offer serious assets.

He was without doubt the best player on a 56 win team.  How many games does the team win with Derek White or Payton Pritchard as its top player? 

Who knows, but my guess is JB would create a lot of interest. Two-way guy. Just 30, Carried a team to 56 wins.  Works to improve every off-season.  Finals MVP.  29-7-5.  29 GMs would at least stop and think.

No one is debating that. This isn?t the regular season, though. The playoffs are a different animal. The pressure is different. JB was not good in the playoffs this year trying to be the leader. He couldn?t handle the pressure and wasn?t reliable.

JB has never been the leader of this team, why would that change?

He was the leader of a not exactly stacked team all season and the team did pretty well.  I am not exactly clear what exactly this question is asking that I trust about him.  That he is going to be the best player on a title team?  That he is a high level #2, 2nd or 3rd team all NBA, perennial all star?

He is an imperfect but very good player.  What exactly is there to trust or not trust?

It?s a strange question given the context. No one ever expected JB to lead a team to a championship. So if that?s the question, I feel the same as always.  I did think, after this amazing season and with JT returning, the team would advance past the first round. But these things happen in sports. They lost to a good team last year in 7 and a good team this year in 7.  Disappointing, but the previous year they won it all. Insanity to think this team was going to win a title this year, and I think just about everyone saw Celtics-Knicks as a toss-up.  I trust JB can be a champion as a 2nd star - again.

What do you mean no one expected Brown to lead the team to a championship. Celtics had the 3rd highest odds going into the playoffs to win it all behind only OKC and SAS. So now that the playoffs are over, I?m curious if people think that the Celtics can win with JB as the leader of the team.
