You're probably too young to remember the pre- and post-trade polling on the KG trade, right?

As I recall, a clear majority of fans were against a trade in a Boston Globe poll. Then it happened, and everybody was ecstatic.

Was that 80% against trading Big Al for KG? Do I remember that right?

Yeah, I believe I was 9 years old at the time and not on this site lol (or using The Globe)

Although I do remember being upset Jefferson was traded away, despite everyone else loving it including my parents. When Ray Allen was added too though I became excited at the Big 3 as they were labeled

Hope is a bigger drug than certainty - which is why the hope of getting a new player is always more fun to speculate about than the certainty of running the same old team back again. Just like the Sixers were so excited at winning the PG13 sweepstakes 3 years ago
