I am trading Brown, Hauser and picks for Giannis.

Letting Walsh walk.

Keep JT, PP, Hugo, Baylor and White.

Spend some money in FA to address needs. There are some good role players that you can get.

After tonight's game I say yes. My preference would be to try and do it for White + young players (Queta or others) + picks but MIL probably won't do that, and it depends what other teams offer.

No for me.

I hate watching Giannis play. He has such an ugly style of play. I don't want to have watch that all time. This is like when we got Kyrie. That sucked ... until Kyrie left and C's basketball was enjoyable again.

I don't want Giannis.

Then what do you do? Because I am tired of watching Brown and Tatum play the take turn, chuck from 3 offense. The roster cannot be the same next season. Just can't.

Run it back.

This group will be better next year. More experience for Queta and the young wings (Hugo, J Walsh, Baylor). Tatum a full off-season and a full season to integrate into the team. Vucevic a full season to get acclimated. This group will be much better next year without any changes. Keep it together.

My god no.  That is the absolute last thing I want to see this team do.

This team just saw complete collapses in the playoffs two years in a row.  About 80% of the roster changed this year, and Tatum missed most the season (and this game) and Pritchard overperformed, so you can't blame them.

That only leaves about 3 guys who you can potentially point the finger at:
- Jaylen Brown
- Derrick White
- Joe Mazulla

White had his shooting struggles, but I'm struggling to put the blame on him given that he did so much other good stuff.

JB did start going a bit too much back to hero ball at times in this series so he might be partly to blame, but I'm not actually putting the blame on him because I feel like he only did this because the rest of the team wasn't making shots, and he probably felt pressure to be more forceful.

That leaves one guy....

Oh god no.

I can agree with most of it but not that part. You need another big man that can play defense. Now if you want to keep Vucevic and add that guy in place of Garza, then fine. They CAN NOT roll it back with just Queta/Vucevic/Garza again. Even if it's not Giannis, find someone else.

Did you think Shaq had an ugly playing style? Thats essentially how Giannis plays. If he?s at the Center position, I?m fine with that.

I would put money on this team finishing lower in the East if they run it back followed up by a first round exit again.

They need a lot to be a legit contender. A #1 center. More playmaking off the bench. Sam Hauser cannot be your starter.

Hugo needs to learn how not to be an offensive liability. Baylor needs to take a big step next season.

Garza can be your 3rd center

Walsh can go. He does very little to impact winning.

I would send Sam out also.

Bench would be PP, Baylor, Hugo. Queta and a few more pieces.

Starter would be JB (if they keep him), JT, White, ?, ?

Celtics need some speed also. Need a quick guard that can get to the rim.

Yeah.

My biggest concern with Giannis is his health, as the past few years it feels like he's been constantly injured come playoff time.  But at least there is a hope that IF he he can healthy comeplayoff time the Celtics would be an almost guarranteed contender.

Whatever happ[ens, there is really only one thing that I am 110% sure of - this team CANNOT be 100% reliable on three point shooting.  As long as that remains the case this team will continue to suffer from extreme inconsistency  and will continue to underperform when it matters most.

This play style CANNOT work in a 7 game series against any half capable team.  In the playoffs teams spend their entire series gamplanning against you and trying to neutralise your biggest stremgth - it's inevitable that any good team that's half decently coached the first thing they are going to do is try to take away the three and dare you to come up with a way to counter that...and if you can't then you are done.  This is all completely predictable and basic common sense.

This is a big one.

When this game was on the line in the final minutes and both teams were struggling to make shots, Maxxey's ability to get to the basket for easy layups was a difference maker.  He used his brain and did EXACTLY what the game needed while all of our guys kept blindly thowing up bricks and praying that one would go in.

Tatum is one of the only guys on this roster who can get to the basket almost at will when he needs to.  Brown SHOLULD be able to, but didn't do it nearly as often as he should have in this series.

No. I enjoyed Shaq.

Shaq and Giannis do not play the same way. Giannis is a driving player from the perimeter. Shaq played in the paint. Giannis ends up in the paint but he starts on the perimeter. Different.

Interesting, because out inability to drive into the paint and get easy baskets in the final minutes of this game was what cost us this game, and Maxey's ability to do that very effectively was what won it for the Sixer.

This was a 1 point game with around 2 minutes to go.  Both teams were struggling with jumpers.  It seemed blatantly obvious to me that the first team that abandoned jumpers and started attacking the basket was going to be the team that comes out of this.  That proved correct.

There are few players on the planet who can drive to the basket (and either score or draw fouls) as effectively as Giannis can.  Giannis also could have kept in front of Maxey on his drives and may have had a chance of making those barely contested layups at the end of the game a lot harder.  If we had Giannis on the floor instead of JB in the final minute of this game, I have a fairly high level of confidnce that we would have won the game.  Not saying that to hate on JB, just making an observation.
