Need Queta to not pick up his 5th foul for a long time and we have a small chance.  And better pray to the basketball gods our 3's fall.

Man, Dwhite now 7 for 20 after a really good start.  Back to struggling.
He was 6-13 at halftime

1-7 since then. Make that 2-8 now.
yup, did well to keep us from getting blown out but when we need him to keep up that level of performance to stay alive, he's back to bricking away like he has all season

The volume 3 offense even when the Cs aren't close to making them is something that is not sustainable.

This group are so mentally soft that when they don't fall they quit.

Again, this is not only wrong in a basketball sense but at a base statistical level. You CAN NOT stop shooting because you miss shots. If you do so you are doomed. You may also lose if you keep shooting, but this team WILL LOSE if they stop shooting them.

The problem is that the way this team has been assembled and the way they play, they don't really have a chance.

It's ok to have a team that uses a three-heavy offense, but you NEED to have a backup that you can go to when those shots aren't falling.

Two years ago our team was great becasue Porzingis was a matchup nightmare who could get us easy baskets in the paint and in the midrange when we needed them.  This year we dont havfe a reliable fallback when threes are not going in.

These timeouts are moving closer to the 4min mark than the usual 3min mark since the start of the playoffs.

This is who the team is. They shoot threes, because they've never (even when Tatum is healthy and at his peak) had that truly elite can't be stopped offensive player.

Again, they have ONE guy who can pressure the rim. ONE on the entire team when Tatum is out.

Agreed. This is what the roster is. This is how the team has been built. To play this strategy.

This is not Mazzula-ball. This is Stevens-ball.

It's both.  It's definitely Mazzula ball.  He has the power to call plays, to draw up ATO plays, and to coach them into a more aggressive offense that at least gets the ball towards the paint to get it to shift.  You can post JB.  You could post Vuc, and also Tatum when he's healthy.  But he'd rather have subpar 3 point shooters take step back 3's, iso 3's, early shot clock 3's.  It's Mazzula ball.

If your strategy is "Post up Vuc" you've already lost. Literally just don't play the game at that point. I would rather shoot 60 threes and miss every one then post up Vuc to win a series.

God Embiid is such a trash player. What a freaking trashy, soft player.

I love Edgecobe's speed, ball-handling and passing.

I love having 2 guards on the courts who can share PG duties / run the offense. Such a luxury.
