So who we rooting for next round? Knicks or 76ers? Don't they say it better to cheer for the team that beat your team?

This is who the team is. They shoot threes, because they've never (even when Tatum is healthy and at his peak) had that truly elite can't be stopped offensive player.

Again, they have ONE guy who can pressure the rim. ONE on the entire team when Tatum is out.

Agreed. This is what the roster is. This is how the team has been built. To play this strategy.

This is not Mazzula-ball. This is Stevens-ball.

It's both.  It's definitely Mazzula ball.  He has the power to call plays, to draw up ATO plays, and to coach them into a more aggressive offense that at least gets the ball towards the paint to get it to shift.  You can post JB.  You could post Vuc, and also Tatum when he's healthy.  But he'd rather have subpar 3 point shooters take step back 3's, iso 3's, early shot clock 3's.  It's Mazzula ball.

the obvious change to how Philly has fared in this series, other than Embiid's return, is the level of D that Philly plays.  They've been all over the C's before they hit half court to slow them up and the C's aren't getting their usual open shots (and missing them when they do).  The C's aren't pressuring Philly at all.  They get the ball up the court as they please with more than enough time to get into their offense.  C's apparently can't get through Philly screens whereas Philly can draw offensive fouls on C's screens.

this is on Joe.  C's can't hit shots when they're open but Joe has no variations on offense other than bomb away so they're dying by the 3 under pressure.

This is where the lack of Jordan Walsh and Hugo Gonzales has hurt them in the series. Hugo hasn't played until today. J Walsh has been so bad offensively in this series that he is unplayable.

Those two guys are the defensive minded wings that fire up our defense. They have been missing in action.

Also, Queta. All the foul trouble. He is our only defensive able center. The foul trouble has limited how much he can play. Without him, there is nobody behind the perimeter players to clean up their mistakes (shot blocking, rim protection) so the perimeter guys take less risks as a result.

C's can't get a whistle to save their lives with the way Philly is making contact on their drives and shots

Oh don't look now, they're actually making a run with JB on the floor.  He has 28 points.

It is absolutely, 100% Mazzulla Ball and has been for the past four years. We shot 60 threes in game 1 of the Knicks series last year with a significantly improved roster that wasn't just three point shooting role players. This has absolutely been the ridiculous theme we've seen every year since 2022 when he took over.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Man, Dwhite now 7 for 20 after a really good start.  Back to struggling.
He was 6-13 at halftime

1-7 since then. Make that 2-8 now.

It's a gap year. As long as the Fakers don't win it all I'm ok. It's  a good season to evaluate our players and coach. And there's Gianis.
