I am watching a clip of Perk on his podcast Road Trippin'. A Celtics fan wrote it that it would be tragedy if the Celtics broke up their team (Tatum / Jaylen) to trade for Giannis.

I agree 100%. This is like trading Kevin McHale and breaking up Bird & McHale. This is wrong. These two guys, JB and JT, should keep playing together and finish their careers here.

Jaylen Brown is well aware of the trade rumors hovering over him and the Celtics this summer.

And, as the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes reaches its final stretch, the Celtics star winger stressed that he?s using all this trade chatter as motivation.

Somewhat grateful, because I get to see some negativity that I didn?t want. But that just gives more fuel to the fire, Brown said on his Twitch stream on Sunday while training with Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles. I see some comments, or takes, that I didn?t even care to see, but it just gives me more fuel to the fire.

To all the people who have doubted me, that want me to do this or want me gone, you?re turning me into a monster.

Regardless if it's Giannis or someone else, I think he's gone this summer. Despite what has happened in the past, none of the noise has been nearly what it has been with this Giannis situation, let alone coming off of the context of this past season. I don't think the relationship is sustainable after this. I'm guessing all of the controversial comments and behaviors - on top of the playoff failures of the team - pushed him over the top to finally go for it and actually trade Brown.

Kalshi was at 72% Boston a few mins ago for Giannis next team.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

So should have Jordan and Pippen. But when you have 2 alphas it is going to happen...or 2 guys that think they are alphas.

I don't think it is just going to be Giannis added. If they get him, Brad needs to do a bit more on the roster. I prefer keeping White if possible.

I am watching a clip of Perk on his podcast Road Trippin'.

So Q-Rich and J-Wall were on with Perk. All 3 of them thought Jaylen was talking his way out of BOS. Openly questioning whether any of this Giannis trade noise would be happening if Jaylen wasn't making noise (unhappy noises) on his podcast. J Wall in particular felt that Jaylen wanted his own team and it was time for him to go.

All of 3 were dead against Jaylen's live streaming. Saying that would have been a no-go in their day in their locker rooms. No way would they tolerate a player voicing that much stuff about what is happening. They would never know if they could trust him. Perk had said this before. Interesting to hear Q-Rich and Wall agree with him.

All 3 but especially Perk were offended by Jaylen's comments about it being his favourite year. Perk talked about being injured, seeing the Celtics do well and how it hurt him because he wasn't apart of it. That it would have killed him to have someone like Rondo come out and say it was favourite time (without Perk). They also could not understand why JB's favourite season wasn't the won where he won the Finals MVP. Wall in particular there.

Meh. I think this was inevitable after this past year.

Also, while they've been tremendously successful together including a championship, it's still only a single championship that took a ridiculously loaded roster to achieve, which I don't see us getting again anytime soon. Given the context of this past year, the contract situations, and the similarities of their skillsets, I think it's a reasonable gamble - and yes it's a gamble - to take on someone who will likely end up as a top 25 all time player.

I am curious what is the Celtics Plan B if Giannis goes to Miami.

Surely they cannot expect Brown to just come back next season and act like nothing happened.

Yeah. Those are comments you can make after you've retired man. You can't make those negative comments right after losing Game 7 of the playoffs.

Him and Kyrie are one and alike.

Only if:

1) Bird and McHale only won one title, and had lost to underdog in three of the past four seasons;
2) McHale openly preferred being "the man"; and
3) McHale was an anti-Semitic faux intellectual that whined constantly

They said the Giannis talks were holding up league business and now the Wolves have done this deal. Couple that with Shams report about no multi-team deals for Giannis & it feels like word is out that something is done.

I have been refreshing every page I can constantly for that reason.  Two of three teams with real cap space and a team that was interested in Giannis made a trade.  No way that happens if a Giannis deal is not imminent.

I am guessing the Giannis deal is done of the Wolves made a trade.
