The Jays tend to choke in game 7. Joe must play the trio of Baylor, Walsh, PP more and be the important piece of the gameplan.

Where do you get that from?  Tatum has historically had big games in closeout situations.  This has been his weakest game of the series and even tonight he's been the best player on the team.

Problem is that others aren't helping.

I can't criticise Pritchard really.  He's not a superstar so I don't expect him to have big offensive nights every night - I can forgive him having one or two off nights.

I feel like there have been three HUGE factors screwing with this team in this series:
1. JB's aweful free throw shooting
2. Queta's complete inability to stay on the court
3. White's completely disappearance offensively

Queta and White in particular are huge.  They are two of the biggest reasons why this team overachieved so much this year, and with them being pretty much non-factors for this series it's a massive hit to the team.

Tatum hasn't been clutch the last 2 years. Jury still out for this season. I do hope he regain his clutchness.

I'm giving Tatum a pass because he actually sacrificed his recovery time to help the team. But next year, he needs to definitely be the #1 man here again.

As for Brown, White and the others not named Payton Pritchard, Luka Garza, Baylor Scheierman, and Jordan Walsh...gotta pack their bags. They should just leave them here and have them walk home instead.

All I heard all season was that JB was actually 1a all along. But as soon as JT came back he has withered back to 2023 JB who's just a bull in a china shop forcing everything and getting turnovers. Meanwhile JT has been a steady triple double threat since coming back basically.

Jaylen needs to get back to what had him in MVP contention this season

Yep. It is because he tries to out do JT and his game reverts to BS.

And when he does that, JT suddenly tries to do too much as well. They need to re learn playing with each other.

This team really misses Horford in this series. He matched up with Embiid. He could hit 3s and pull Embiid out.

Queta is a back up center in the grand scheme of things. He cannot defend him without fouling. Vuc can't defend my dead grandmother.

Jaylen hasn?t shot well in months. Like January or even December. He got off to an incredibly scorching start which got him in those conversations, but he has been iffy since.

Still a volume scorer, so I?m not taking that away from him, but he isn?t Cade or Ant

JB and White have somehow completely regressed since the playoffs started. Not winning anything with them playing like that.

Do you feel this has to do with Tatum coming back in and gradually increasing his usage? Because before when Tatum came back he made a point to e more of a rebounder and facilitator, and now his usage has gone up to "old Tatum" and it seems to have really affected those two the most. White's usage in the playoffs is down to 12% from 20% in the regular season.

I feel like Hauser needs to be dropped from the starting lineup. They need some more energy. More hustle. Some more ball-handling and passing would be nice as well.

Baylor could be a better option with Hauser taking over prime backup SF. Or maybe move Pritchard back into the starting lineup. Go with our 4 guns alongside Queta.
This was obvious a month ago but Joe Schmoe cant seem to let go when it comes to DWhite and Hauser.

Just look at the very first possession of the game, Sam took the most ridiculous contested 3pt shot as if hes been on some type or heater or something. The dude straight up stinks especially if he cant make a shot
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Had to leave for dinner and drinks, checked the score looks like we unraveled in the 2nd quarter? Any updates?

(other than we sucked balls, I knew that already  :police:)

Tatum and Jaylen were keeping the team in it during the first half. They had around 2/3rds of the team's points midway through Q2. They cooled off. Nobody else picked up. Philly built a lead in Q3 and has held onto it.

That's not true at all.

Tatum struggled with his shot early in the Mavs finals run sure, but he was the only Celtic who had a somewhat respectable performance in Game 4 against the Mavs when the rest of the team put up complete stinkers, and then he carried the Celtics in game 5 with 31, 11 and 8.

Brown had a horrible 10, 1 and 2 performance in game 4 and he shot 11-35 (31%) over those last two games.  If Tatum didn't put up that great game 6 performance there is a good chance Banner 18 wouldn't have happened.

I don't think it is a factor for D White but I definitely believe it is a factor for both (1) Jaylen (2) the role player perimeter guys.

Tatum's return has disrupted the rhythm of the team. The ball is sticking to his hands. Not as much ball movement. The young wings like J Walsh, Baylor, Hugo are all off ball more than they were earlier. They were more involved in the offense - in moving the ball - earlier in the season. Now they are standing on the 3 point not involved. And they are struggling.

For JB, the team revolved around him. And it continued going to him regardless of how the game was going. Now he is getting the ball in less primary positions and more secondary spots which are less advantageous + if he gives up the ball, he is unlikely to get it back because Tatum will do something with it.

So yeah, I believe Tatum's return has disrupted (1) JB (2) the young perimeter guys. I don't think he has upset Pritchard or D White as much. They seem stable going back to smaller roles. D White just can't shoot at the moment. He doesn't trust his shot. That is the main reason his usage numbers are down. He doesn't want to shoot. He thinks he will miss.
