In Game 5, the Celtics had a 7 point halftime lead, got it up to 13 in the 3rd and then blew it all away quickly

Meanwhile the Sixers tonight have a 9 point lead, got it up to 23, and are basically just playing hard and holding it throughout the 2nd half

Go figure! And then factor in the multiple 20-point blown leads in the Knicks series last year SMH. The players/talent have issues but it's also a lot on coaching and Mazzulla there

This team is in real trouble They are mentally soft as it is and now they face a better team with all the mo in a game 7.

Haven?t you accepted they aren?t winning this series? It?s over. It?s all about Knicks/6ers

I have. I called tonight as a loss...thought it would be closer. But this performance just shows the Cs aren't sniffing a game 7 win.

Jaylen is 7-17 FGA which isn't too bad. 18pts.

But he is 2-6 on FTAs (3 more possesions) and has 5 turnovers (another 5 possesions). So 18pts on 25 possessions. Bad return.

Only 1 rebound. 2 assists. 0 steals 0 blocks.

And when you look at teams like OKC, SAS, and even New York today...closeout games they actually show up, step on their throats, and closed them out for good.

This team can't seem to close out teams since 2022 and been playing with their food since 2020 (or 2018 when the C's blew Game 7 to the Cavs at the Garden)

He has been terrible for most of the series.

Take the points in Game 7. Philly may just win outright

The Jays tend to choke in game 7. Joe must play the trio of Baylor, Walsh, PP more and be the important piece of the gameplan.

Tatum and Jaylen have 35pts out of 78 team points. Almost 50% of the scoring has come from them.

The rest of the team needs to help them out more.

Pritchard and D White with 11pts apiece. That is 22. So the four of them together have 57 of 78 points.

The rest of the team.

The centers

* L Garza had a productive 9min with 7pts
* Queta has 4pts in 20min
* Vooch has 2pts in 14min on 1-5 FGA

The perimeter guys

* Hauser only 5pts in 20min
* Baylor 2pts in 10min
* J Walsh 0pts in 15min
* R Harper Jr 3pts in 6min

10pts in 51min from these 4 guys.

Those perimeter guys, the role players, have to knock down some shots to help spread the floor for Tatum & Jaylen. Another no-show from this group of players.

Part of the problem is the Jays haven?t really been looking to pass the last 2 games. Too much hero ball if i may say.

Do the Sixers stand a chance against the Knicks? I think with a healthy Embiid they stand a chance, certainly a better chance then us

Think the Knicks will win that in 5 games. The east is wide open for them. They should walk to the finals.

One could say its wide open for Sixers. Embiid, healthy will eat Towns like a snack.
the Sixers starting 5 with a healthy Embiid and 2 solid bench players can hang with pretty much any other team in the East -- particularly with the favorable whistle Embiid enjoys.    Celtics need both J's playing at their best as well as the rest of the team to play well -- especially White, PP and Q
