Lol the bench probably just had the best 3-4 minute stretch of any unit tonight for the C's

This team is in real trouble They are mentally soft as it is and now they face a better team with all the mo in a game 7.

Cs make 3s they are elite

When they don't they are the Wizards.

The ongoing problem with Joe is he has nothing to go to when the 3s are falling. He just tells them to shoot more.
When they do not make shots they stop playing hard. They don't play D, they resort to hero ball.

You cannot count on making 25 3s a game in the playoffs.

That?s the problem with relying too much on analytics. ?Water will find its own level? as they always say, that?s why they keep shooting. Frustrating really.

Do the Sixers stand a chance against the Knicks? I think with a healthy Embiid they stand a chance, certainly a better chance then us

Think the Knicks will win that in 5 games. The east is wide open for them. They should walk to the finals.

One could say its wide open for Sixers. Embiid, healthy will eat Towns like a snack.

I never understood the decision to trade for Vuc,  Id rather have an instant spark plug off the bench like Simons who could drop 20+ in a heartbeat and can actually get his own shot with his dribble.

But people convinced me he would be our missing piece, a pick and pop big who can shoot and rebound- exactly what we needed. Boy were they wrong..

Hated the trade and can?t stand the fans who made a big deal about this complete bum? a guy who had nothing to do with our success this season getting substantial minutes in the playoffs and being a complete liability should get someone fired

Completely agree. We were way better off with Garza as the backup, at least he shows a little heart and hustle out there
I wouldn't play Vuc another minute this series or next if they advance. Garza has been better and what they were hoping Vuc would bring to their offense hasn't happened.  It's a waste of time playing him at this point.

Blown out in games 2, 5 and 6. No pulse whatsoever.

A coach that has no other scheme than to shoot more 3s even when they are not falling. Just stupidity. That does not work in the playoffs esp with a roster like this.

I worry about the Sixers bench. You know someone on that team will miss a game because of an injury.

Good coach knows how to subs players in and out, riding on hot hands and emotions, players who can defend certain opponents, what to do when plan A doesn't work, etc. It's been 4 years, but Joe still not up to the high level on these parts yet.

Last season losing to the knicks was really who this team is. This year Joe looked good because of the regular season. But come money time this team just is not good.

I don't agree on this one.

Simons has been an extremely inconsistent offensive black hole his entire career, and offers practically nothing else of value if he's not scoring.

Sure he might have a couple of good offensive nights where he lifts you, but Vuc has made an impact at key moments in this series too.  If your team is weak enough that you're depending on a guy like Simons to win you a first round series, then you deserve to be bounced.

I had my concerns this year - the Celtics have been strong against weak teams, but their record against winning teams has been pitiful.  I was hoping that getting Tatum back might help be the difference maker to put that stat to bed.  He's been great in this series, but clearly it's not enough.

The Celtics need a different gameplan.  Nothing wrong with embracing the three, but you need to have another way to put points on the board when the threes aren't falling.  If you're ability to win relies entirely on your ability to make threes, then you WILL inevitably lose at least 2-3 games every series and will be left trying to fight tooth and nail in a game 7 that you never should have needed.

I also don't like that Joe has changed rotations since the regular season.  I know that this is a normal thing to do in the playoffs, but the strength of the second unit is a big part of what made this team so dangerous and hard to guard.  Why change that if its working?

I would hate to see what would have happened in this series if we didn't get Tatum back, because he is really the only player on the team who has shown up in every game this series.  Not saying he's been perfect (he's had some bad shot selections and turnovers here and there) but he has shown up every night.
Thats what he was his whole career- in portland. Once he came here he bought into the team, agreed to come off the bench, actually showed some effort on defense. Idk Vuc hasnt done anything to help us win and right now we could really use a scorer like Simons it seems
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Haven?t you accepted they aren?t winning this series? It?s over. It?s all about Knicks/6ers

Tatum and Jaylen have 35pts out of 78 team points. Almost 50% of the scoring has come from them.

The rest of the team needs to help them out more.

Pritchard and D White with 11pts apiece. That is 22. So the four of them together have 57 of 78 points.
