This game made me want to bang my head on the wall. JB had a terrible game, DWhite a no show per usual, Joe not giving guys who earned minutes any time on the court. Whole team couldnt hit their free throws. Nothing went right

Im expecting a better performance in hame 6

Joe not trying different guys when white and vuc are giving giving you nothing is what lost the game.

I dont think our effort was bad like some, just a combo of dogma and Philly hitting a number of 3s that turned it

This is a big issue and indicative of Joe's larger issues as a coach - too dogmatic and stuck in his ways. He fails to adjust in-game or adjust his overall philosophy being totally dependent on winning the math game, even when the "math ain't mathing".
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I'm not worried about this series, BUT I am definitely worried about the next one. Because the way they are playing, NY will probably beat them again in 5 or 6 and it won't necessarily be because the Knicks are a superior roster/team.

The Celtics will win game 6.  We play better on the road anyway.

At this point our home struggles are primarily on JB and JT.  It's been a trend for years now.

And I changed my mind - I'd have pegged the C's to beat NYK this year, but after watching our execution and just inexplicably bad stretches of basketball I think NYK beats us in 6 again.

You sure the 76ers will lose 3 in a row at home? That would be insane

Definitely not sure.  But what I do know is that the Celtics have been a good road playoff team in recent years, and that Philly isn't that good.  The Celtics are a better team and should win.

Brown all night was looking for fouls to be called. He took bad shots hoping to get them called. He played hero ball.

White is a liability right now.

Hauser doesn't provide much.

Queta can't stop fouling.

Cs got killed on defense tonight.

The Celtics shot 40% from the field, 28% from 3pt and 61% from the line.  76ers shot 50% from the field, 36% from 3pt and 87% from the line. Hard to win if you can?t make shots from anywhere. 12 turnovers didn?t help either.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Embarrassing to get smoked by the ghost of Paul George and Grimes.

On a night when the #1 need for the Celtics was energy and focus, what does Joe do ?

He plays Brown and Tatum into the ground and abandons his bench, which has been the secret weapon of this team all year. They are the reason the Celts did not have the "gap year" that the Pacers suffered through. The bench brought energy and hustle all season and Joe just forgets all that and plays a conventional lineup and the team plays flat and have, once more, extended a playoff series they needed to close out early ..................... at home no less. The man has no feel for the game.

I could agree more. I would have given Williams some reps on Embiid. Williams is 7'0, 262lb, with a 7'6 Wingspan your most athletic center. Joe just kept playing guys that weren't producing... Pritchard was out playing D White but PP only got 26 to whites 36 minutes...Garza +5 in 6 minutes...

It?s been a while since I visited the game thread in the post-season. What a bunch of whiners. People
Calling out Joe and pining for Ime. 🤣 It?s a sport of randomness. The better team doesn?t win every game. 2008 team was taken to 7 games by the 40-42 Hawks.

Still not sure how you end the game with PHI going on a 63-34 run, and in the 4th quarter alone you get outscored 28-11 and frankly it didn't even feel competitive in the final 4 minutes. AT HOME. With the Jays. Just awful.

Vucevic backs off of Embiid after Embiid catches the ball. Vucevic is afraid of Embiid driving by him with his ball-handling / speed. Embiid doesn't have much speed at the moment. Vucevic should adjust and play closer defensively to Embiid. He is giving Embiid too large an advantage to attack him.

Vooch needs to get into his body. Muscle him. Instead he lets Embiid go in whatever direction he wants and then when Embiid initiates the contact, Vooch can't hold his ground because of the momentum Embiid has off his drive.

Exactly.  He's way too soft and not offering any resistance.  His poor defense was a huge reason why we lost the lead and struggled ever since.

Was a fun season but this team has a 2nd round ceiling?just not very good and extremely inconsistent and you have players who were a big part of our regular season success barely playing.

The Sixers didn?t even want to be there tonight and probably have vacations booked?..and you lose

Tonight they really missed Al and his defense vs Embiid. They have no one that can guard him.

They don't have enough to beat the Knicks. Boston's third option is missing and if the 3s are not falling, no chance of winning.
