Embiid had 26/10/6 and the Sixers lost by 32. That's CRAZY

They looked absolutely terrible with Embiid in the game. Felt like the Celtics could have put him in the pick and roll even more than they did, but they stopped in the second half as a mercy to the tortured Sixer fans.

Their offense looked sluggish. All the players second guessed where they should be and what they should do with him out there. Players were in the same spots, cutting to the same areas, and running into each other.

That Sixers team needs to trade Embiid for whatever they can get this off-season, and then rebuild around the speed and tempo of Edgecomb and Maxey.

Completely agree.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Not much to complain about from yesterday.  They took care of business and PP was in full mojo working mode.

I?d love to see Queta find a way to avoid the one or two unnecessary fouls that are keeping him off the floor.  No problem with him picking one up for contesting a shot or going for a rebound,  but the bad screen and reach ins the back court are avoidable.  It?s great having Garza be a viable fouls eater too, but Q has made himself too valuable to be missing huge chunks of time every night with foul trouble.

Yup

Sixers getting sent to the slaughter in Game 5

Sooner or later D White is going to get going.

I watched the game on mute, and didn't even notice that we were shooting or making so many threes.

Sixers' threads are saying things like "Pritchard turned into Jerry West. That won't happen again." lol

Sixers fans are coping. D White hasn't even played up to average offensively yet.

That has been the oddest thing to me.  We all watched the regular season.  Queta played very well, and took gigantic leaps forward.

In the playoffs, there's been a clear defensive regression.  Is that something that's specific to the Sixers?  Is the spotlight of the playoffs too bright?

It's just weird.  He has literally doubled his fouling rate (from 4.0 PFs per 36 minutes to 4.0 PFs in 18.3 minutes).

That said, he's also averaging 9.0 points in those 18 minutes, shooting 92%.

Embiid coming back was the best thing that could've happened to the Celtics.

Winning a laugher was comforting after all the over the top gloom on here last week.
