Looks like Embiid will play tonight. Some of the betting sites have props up for him now too

From doubtful to playing. Interesting. But not surprising

Could be bad news for our exploited bigs. Hope he doesn't put up 50 points on the C's

You were 24 off your prediction  :police:

Not bad, halve of that.  8) Altho he did have that typa performance earlier this season on his injury return

Was I the only Celtics fan happy to hear Embiid was starting today? He completely changes how that team plays, and that's not a good thing. Philly tried so hard to involve him in the first quarter, and before they knew it, the game was essentially over.

Embiid got points, but overall, I didn?t think he was that good. I understand why they played him. They were hoping they could steal this game and that maybe he would be better next game. It was a desperation ploy, but what are you going to do.

Great to see PP show up big in the playoffs.  He?s always had the cojones to come in and make a big shot, but dominating for 30+ minutes is a different matter.  This was a huge step for him imo.

Good win.  Let?s close this chapter in G5.

Surprisingly easy win. Great game by the Celtics, but I think they can play even better.

Yeah that's the thing, even with two 32-point blowouts this series, the team hasn't played to their full potential. If they get there, no one in the East is stopping them.

What a monster game from Pritchard. 32pts/5ast/4rebs.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Tatum has been really good in this series.

He's averaging 24.8 points, 9.3 reb, 8.5 ast and is shooting 49% / 38% / 90%.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Enough can?t be said about the shotmaking in the 3rd quarter. Philly was on a roll and, in any normal game, that flurry of points would gotten them back in the game.

But the Celtics just kept matching them punch for punch and even extended the halftime lead. That was great basketball and a great game overall!

Jaylen mentioned nursing his ankle. Missed a couple of short midrange - missed them short. Surprising misses.  Glad he got a little extra rest at the end. A big reason to finish this in G5 - a few extra days of rest will be great.

Very good response on the road for games 3 & 4 in Philly after the painful game 2 loss.
Don't get happy and complacent - find a way to stay focused for game 5 back in the Garden.

On a side note as the 9:30 game kicks off, it is so weird seeing Marcus Smart in a Lakers uniform.

He's been doing great for them actually. Good for Smart. I don't hate him despite what my comments may sound like, I just don't think he's a Top-3 option on a contender like he wanted to be here with the Jays. Even for LAL he's thriving as a fringe starter/top role player and he's starting now because Reaves + Luka are out.
