Boston Celtics guard Derrick White has been named the 2025-26 NBA Sportsmanship Award winner, earning the Joe Dumars Trophy.

Presented annually since the 1995-96 season, the NBA Sportsmanship Award honors a player who best represents the ideals of sportsmanship on the court.

I find it ironic that the Sportsmanship award is named for a member of the original gang of thugs Detroit Bad Boys.  of course he was the one non-despicable one of the bunch but still, I would think they could find a better player to name this one for.

My choice would be David Robinson.

I think its just because he's the inaugural recipient and the NBA went about a bit of a lazy route to name it.
