Sox won again against the White Sox 4-0, and now are 30-5 since they turned it on. The best 35-game stretch in franchise history.  The victory also clinched their ninth consecutive series win, which is the second-longest streak in franchise history behind only the 1912 team.  Interesting bit of trivia, every team in both leagues since 1903 that has had a record of 30-5 during the season went on to play in the World Series....good omen!

If I'm not mistaken, they're also 16-0 against #1 ranked teams (based on the beginning of the series) since the series against the Yankees in June (the Yankees were in first in the AL East at the time), so it's not like they're just beating up on bad teams. They have just been that much better than everyone else.
I'm bitter.

Too bad they just ruined their bullpen for a couple days.

It is a good thing then that their next few games are against the As.

Incredible 8th win in a row...and now 1/2 game behind the Skanks.  They tied the game in the bottom of the 9th, then tied again with 2 runs in the 10th, 1 run in the 11th, 1 run in the 12th, and finally won the game with another run in the bottom of the 13th.  This team is fun to watch.

Another of those pitching and defense wins  ;)

I was in the car driving, listening on the radio.  Sounds like the pitchers were having a hard time gripping the ball due to the humidity.  Caleb Durbin really epitomizes the turnaround.  I heard "experts" on the radio (Tony Massarotti and others) saying he didn't have the bat speed to hit at the major league level, that it was obvious that he couldn't hit, bla bla bla.  Bello has bounced back to find a nice role also.  Best reliever ERA in the game.

Chad "Tracy Turnaround"  reminds me of Joe "Morgan Magic".  Is it time to remove Tracy's interim manager to full time manager?  or wait till the end of the season and see what happens.

Wildly entertaining game last night!  I can't remember the last time I was glued to the TV for an entire baseball games.  And I'm a baseball fan. I wanted to go to bed last night, but needed to see what happened.

Out of principle I hate the ghost runner rule.  But, undoubtedly, it's led to more entertainment.
