2026 Red Sox/MLB Season Thread

27-5 in our last 32 games. Just insanity. They are fun to watch. 

Rafaela has also been RED HOT lately. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say he's starting to make a superstar leap if he can keep the bat consistent. His defense is already elite at CF.

Trade deadline less than 48 hours away. Please get Luis Arraez (he'd be perfect at leadoff), and trade for an inning-eating SP like Gausman or Wacha. Neither of those moves should require them to have to trade any top prospects or young pitching (Arias/Eyanson/Tolle). If Mead comes back September, he can rotate 2B/DH with Arraez too and obviously it'd be extra awesome if Anthony could come back in September as well.

as a Brewer fan, despite all the talking-head speculation, I knew the Brewers wouldn't pony up the asking price but it's just frustrating that Skubal ends up on the Dodgers for a pittance of a payment.  it's like watching teams give away their top players to the Lakers for peanuts.

I don?t blame the Dodgers, MLB got to do something. And with Detroit they wasn?t gotta sign him so get something for him. If I?m a Tiger fan I be Pee off cause they on 2 games out of WC. Do there?s all kind of debate here

as a Brewer fan, despite all the talking-head speculation, I knew the Brewers wouldn't pony up the asking price but it's just frustrating that Skubal ends up on the Dodgers for a pittance of a payment.  it's like watching teams give away their top players to the Lakers for peanuts.

I don?t see this being about the prospects the Brewers would give up. There is no way the Brewers could sign him in the off-season. It is a classic rental. You aren?t going to trade your best prospects for a couple of months of a pitcher.   A team like the Yankees could have beat the trade offer, but even they were probably worried about signing him.

Im a Reds fan & fans would riot here. But they are not gotta sign him after 2028 so I would trade him. I would ask for Tolle & 2 top 7 prospects

This is what I am sensing, the cost is going to be high for this level of player.  Established production, some years of control, teams are going to ask a lot for this type of player.

This is what I am sensing, the cost is going to be high for this level of player.  Established production, some years of control, teams are going to ask a lot for this type of player.

I'd do it for De La Cruz - he might be my favorite player in baseball. I'd also gladly trade Arias for Abrams. Just insane production from him.

Apparently the Angels want Arias for Neto, which is a no-go. That'd be a disaster of a trade. Otto Lopez is the guy people are waivering on.

Sox have now won 14 straight games against 1st place teams in both leagues...Yanks 4 game sweep, White Sox 3 game sweep, TB 4 game sweep, and LA 3 game sweep.  At the time the sox played NY they were in first place.
