Thoughts?

Here's a look at the top 10 from Cowherd, which unsurprisingly begins with Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.

1) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
2) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
3) Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
4) Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
5)Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
6) Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
7) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
8 Drake Maye, New England Patriots
9) Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams
10) Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

Caleb Williams & Justin Herbert are too high.  A healthy Lamar Jackson is too low.

That?s fair. So what would be your order?

What is the criteria on that? Like what factors are considered?

That?s his list for the top 10 QBs in the league going into this season. What is your order?

My order would be:

1. Josh Allen
2. Patrick Mahomes
3. Lamar Jackson
4. Joe Burrow
5. Matthew Stafford
6. Drake Maye
7. Justin Herbert
8. Dak Prescott
9. Caleb Williams
10. Jared Goff

Just missed but are very close: Bo Nix, Jayden Daniels, Jordan Love

Obviously some of the names like Burrow and Lamar are contingent on them being healthy. If so, they are still 2 of the Top-4 in the NFL. And in my list, I don't consider there to be a huge gap between 3-7, it's tight there between them. Somewhat different playstyles, etc.

Cowherd having Caleb at 3 is clear rage-bait and engagement-farming. Personally, I put Goff at 10 because he's been doing great with Detroit, I think some of their failures in recent years has more to do with the defense and coaching. Not entirely him, he's had a nice resurgence with DET. But if you wanted to switch him with any of my "close" guys, you can too. I wouldn't argue. The Cowboys are also only relevant now as a team because of the QB and Lamb. Otherwise, it's full of drama with Jerry Jones and a not-so-talented roster around them.

Is overall QBs the last 2-3 years? I'm surprised Mahomes is 2. He should be 1. Matthew Stafford that low?? No love for Bo Nix even tho he took Denver to an AFCCG?

I love the Bears, but Caleb isn't there yet.  He needs to make the easy and routine throws with consistency.

Still doesn't clear it up. Is it the 10 best? The 10 that will have the best statistical seasons? The 10 most talented? The top 10 QB's in MVP voting?  The 10 most likely to win a Superbowl?  I mean there are so many different ways you can look at this.  I didn't hear the segment so I don't know what his criteria were, so it is hard to say what I'd change.
