Just tuned in.  Not sure what was strange.  But only on pick 17 is disappointing. I was hoping to be up when the Pats pick.  Doesn't appear likely.

It's been a very slow draft, idk. 2 hours and still on Pick 19???

even setting this up as just one round the first day was pointless unless they started at 6pm

Slow going but getting there. Five more picks.  Anyone have thoughts about who Pats will take or anyone you are hoping they?ll take?  Anyone you are surprised is still available?

I like protecting Drake. Does Campbell move to guard?

I know a lot of Bears fans like him.  He has a good frame, he's athletic, he has excellent technique. He didn't give up a sack last year. Draft analysts say that he needs to add muscle.

Campbell will start at LT this year (and baring anything major, next year as well). Lomu will be the swing tackle for this year (filling in for Campbell and Moses when/if they miss time), and groomed to take over for Moses next year. Obviously things can change, but there's no reason to think that Lomu will be as good as or better than Campbell (he's just a shiny new toy, while Campbell has some dirt on him)

I throughly enjoy how much the Eagles and their fans are trolling the Steelers online. Brings some extra excitement to the draft.

Ty Simpson at 13 is biggest surprise of 1st round.  Seems like a huge reach for the Rams.

I see it that way.  I would think that a team with Super Bowl aspirations would be trying to add a win-now guy.  They were rumored to want offense, so Sadiq or Lemon would have fit.  Or, any number of very good defenders.

At the very least, trade down into the late teens / early 20s.

If they think he's their QB of the future then I get it, having a cheap QB when Stafford loses a step in a few years helps ensure continuity. But if he's not that guy, then they might have just sunk their window (or at the very least, shrunk it).

I don't follow college football and haven't been following any of the QBs in this draft, but based on things analysts and fans have said about him... he's probably not the guy. In a couple of years they'll probably look back at this pick as a big reason they didn't win another SB

I think it was a stupid pick that'll eventually come back to bite them.

This could be Staffords last year and if McVay thinks Simpson is their next QB, they?d want him to sit for a season before taking over. Also, there are other teams like AZ, Miami, Pitt, and NO that need a QB. AZ is picking early second round and Simpson was the next best QB in the draft. He?d likely be gone by the time the Rams picked next.

if they wanted Simpson, they should have traded back or traded up later in round.
