I can't imagine they gave up their 2026 pick.  But, if it's less than two #1s I'll be slightly disappointed.

Zubac was a better fit for the Cs and had three years of a great contract left. Would have rather had him if the deal was reasonable

Clippers are going to be trying to thread a needle with that draft pick. Also, their own draft pick is heading OKC (of course) and they seem to be sellers.

Yeah, I cannot imagine we were ever a serious option for Zubac.  The Clippers had that reported price all year, which was way higher than we could meet.  And credit to them they got what they sought.
